Pros: Aggressive styling; Interior to match, Superior comfort for a car in this class. Cons: Only 225 HP, No 6-speed
The Mustang GT, in the 1990s, got a bad rap for being much slower than cars like the Z28 and Firebird Formula. After owning a 1998 Mustang and having driven many F-Body’s, what do I think? Read on... Driving Impressions When it comes ...

Pros: Plenty of power, classic styling, easy to repair. Cons: Tends to go through tires quickly, not the safest car in bad weather.
I've owned Mustangs for over 20 years. I always buy them used and I usually keep them for a long time. So when it came time to let go of my beloved 1987 GT, I strolled down to the local Carmax and bought a beautiful 1998 GT that was optioned exactly as ...

Pros: Price, coolness factor, power Cons: noisy, low gas mileage
I was looking to buy a car about one year ago and I spent several months researching a vehicle both online and in the showrooms. I finally settled on the 1998 Ford Mustang GT and have been a pretty satisfied customer. The other cars that I was...

Pros: FAST, flashy, smooth shifting, sleek styling, Cons: Gears are kinda close, capable of excessive speed, poor visibility from within vehicle due to deep bucket seats and tiny mirrors.
The Ford Mustang. My husband's dream car. "I really want this car" he says. (Yes, I'm sure you do) So I, dutiful spousal unit that I am, re-arranged our family budget to include the extra insurance and payment that would trail the joyous...

Pros: Smooth ride; back seat large enough for 2 young children; good reliability record; pretty good mileage; great stereo system Cons: Backseat best for children or small adults; since it's a convertible, would not be safe in roll-over
This past weekend, we purchased a 1998 Mustang GT Convertible. We were not even shopping for a car and drove by a local Mercedes dealership on our way to have my truck washed. It was on the rack and immediately caught my eye. I couldn't believe I had...

Pros: Magnificent Engine, Transmission, Driving Position Cons: Almost Everything Else
Don Garlits, the "Big Daddy" of drag racing, is who I think of after test driving a new 1998 Ford Mustang GT. Before driving one, I thought of the Mustang as just another sporty-looking spineless car for secretaries and factory workers to flog...

Pros: Price, power, fresh air, fun Cons: Small trunk, blowing hairdos
I bought my 98 red Mustang convertible in March 1999. In less than 10 months, I've put over 20,000 miles on that car. What fun!
I'm a married mom with 3 kids. I've always driven an economy car until they died. After renting Mustang...

Pros: power, power, power Cons: none
I purchased my 1998 Ford Mustang GT in June of 1998 brand new. It's white with grey leather interior with the 17 inch wheels. I was having a bit of a turning 30 crisis so I figured what the heck I traded in a Ford Explorer (big change). I love this car....

Pros: Great in the sun Cons: Road noise
The quintessential California car!! After moving to the west coast from the midwest, we needed a smaller car for traffic, but wanted it to be fun and sporty. After looking at different makes and models, we both fell in love with the ride and roominess...

Pros: Classic looks, Excellent reliability, good content value for price Cons: Poor traction on snow & ice
I have a 80-mile round trip to work each day, which means a lot of wear & tear in a short time. Having "been there" with front wheel drive and its mechanical weaknesses, this time I wanted low tech and low maintenance. That means good ol'...

Pros: Pretty Color Cons: Transmission Problems - factory defect - torque converter
After we got all our money back from our 1995 Mustang Convertible due to the Lemon Law in Florida, we used that money to order another new Mustang but instead of the white color we ordered the Laserred with the camel color top and interior. We were...

Pros: Sporty, comfortable seating, plenty of power, very reliable Cons: Compact interior, some poor design inside
I thought I would give my opinion on this vehicle. I bought it as a leased car in 2000 with 20,000 miles. I decided to go with the 3.8L V6 non-GT model, as the insurance on the GT was prohibitive, and I wanted better gas mileage (Mine gets 21-23mpg in...

Pros: Nice looking Cons: Very poorly designed interior, zero power
I bought this vehicle in October of 1999 mostly because I was coerced and bullied by the salesmen at my local Ford dealership. I liked the looks of it, but, being my first new car, was extremely naive in how to go about purchasing one. I had...
