Pros: Safty and response Cons: Price 23-28K nicely loaded
I started looking at the Intrigue because of Consumers Reports "Best Buy" rating. I am a professional who loves to play. I'm a little over 6 foot and athletically built so I need a car that I can be comfortable in. I like all the safety...

Pros: Beautiful European Styling. POWERFULL RESPONSIVE Engine. Nice Interior Cons: Paint could be a little better. Mirror outside color faded after a year. The Bottom Line: I real beautiful, powerful car that GM decided to make a stupid judgment and kill it.
This car was purchased to replace a 89 Ford Taurus that died even though it only had 60K on it...never buy Ford again. It was a close tie between the Intrigue and the Buick Regal. Both shared the same characteristics except for Engine and Styling....

Pros: Styling, interior design, price tag, smooth ride Cons: acceleration
I have to admit, I've always been a foreign car owner. So when I started researching mid-sized four doors to drive, the Accord, Camry, and Maxima were first on my list. It wasn't until I received a free gift certificate to go drive the Intrigue, that I...

My husband's car was totaled by a drunk driver so he decided to buy one at the state auction. He was unhappy with it so he started looking at several cars. He happened to run across the Intrigue and found the most wonderful car for the money. We got a...

Pros: Good power, firm ride, attractive. Cons: Would like the two position switch for seats, etc.
Just bought my wife the Intrigue after looking at the Mercedes, Nissan Maxima, Volvo, and a few others. She decided on the Intrigue. When we first got it, we found it difficult to start. The dealer kept it overnight, found the same thing, and replaced a...

Pros: great car overall Cons: A little pricey for an American car
When I first thought about buying cars I would have never Thought about buying an American car, let alone an Oldsmobile. I thought that Oldsmobile was for old people and it was bad. My mind was changed after driving the Intrigue. This a great car...a...

Pros: Big Car Feel, Small car Mileage on Hwy, lots of room! Cons: Big Car Mileage under large load, city mileage lacks
This is a "must-have" car for the small growing family. Although obviously not a soccer mom or "Brady Bunch" Vehicle, this car carries 5 adults or 3-4 adults and a few kids very comfortably. The car has a nice "Big Car"...

Pros: roomy, comfortable, well built Cons: not as sporty as the smaller Alero
I became a year round business traveler over 5 years ago. I am usually in a town for 6 months where I rent an apartment and get a short term lease on a rental car. The last car I owned was sold 4 years ago and was a Porsche 911. My car before that was a...

Pros: wonderful handling and powerful engine, nice full sized sedan Cons: depreciation
I recently test drove an Oldsmobile Intrigue. I looked at the price, considered it within my price range and told the salesman I'd think about it. On my way home I stopped at another car lot. On it was sitting a 1999 Intrigue with 28,xxx miles. IT...

Pros: Fast, powerful, good torque, great option packages. Cons: Production ending! The Bottom Line: The best car in it's class. Gorgeous, and fun to drive. An excellent car to drive or ride in!
This Oldsmobile is worthy. Reliable, strong, powerful, fast, everything the Intrigue needs to be an Oldsmobile, not just another car on the road.
I bought the Intrigue new in 1999 and it's still just as sharp. Although it is front-wheel...

Pros: Quick, Handles Well Cons: Dull Appearance
This car was purchased for me as a company car so I had little to do with the decision making. However, I am tremendously pleased with it. Although it's not very exiting in appearance, it is roomy and comfortable. It handles more like a foreign car than...

Pros: Performance, Handling, Looks! Cons: GM Stop Making it!
I pick up my 99 Intrigue with .4 miles on it. It now has 124,290 and has not had a anything go wrong with it.
It has been a pleasure to drive. I you want it drive it fast it complies with out a complaint. It you take it easy you will be reward with a very nice ride. It continues to get 22MPG no matter how I drive it. Everything is holding up just fine, nothing has broken off, as one of the other reviewers had predicted. I had it in to the dealer last week for what I thought was the starter and it turned out to be the battery. The tech that checked it out couldn't believe the miles. This car has not been babied, I have run it hard, but treated it well. It has had the oil changed at 3,500 - 4,000 with Mobil 1 since new. About the only complaint that I have is that we didn't get the memory seats, I'm 6' and my wife is 5' 2". Sure wish GM didn't discontinue the Intrigue! At almost 9 years old it still looks great!

Bring back Oldsmobile!

Pros: Lots of Torque, Roomy, Easy to drive Cons: Old person stigma attached to it
I bought my Olds Intrigue GL used in 2001, with very low miles. The only problems I have had is the battery had a bad cell (warranty replaced it), and the brake rotors warped on me at 20,000, but that's it! It's been a great car for getting to work and back, it has plenty of power and I get decent mileage for a V6. I average 22 mpg in my nasty commute to work and on long trips I get over 30 mpg. And it doesn't seem to make a difference if I drive it hard or soft.
It's just a great car, I just wish GM brought back Oldsmobile with a cool new lineup.

Pros: Engine, comfort, ease of steering, trunk space, fold down seats Cons: NONE
I love the look of the Intrigue. It is quite stylish and has all around nice lines that does not make you feel like you are about to enter a "grandpa" car. Most of my friends do not believe that it's an Oldsmobile.
I bought my Intrigue with 88K and sold it two days ago with 116K. I cried when I sold it because I loved it so much but it had to go. I was convinced that if I had one person test drive it that they would fall in love with it and take. And that is what happened. She drove, loved it, bought it.
The only problem I've had with the car was the electronic Module needed replacing (it is what operates the automatic headlights) also the passenger window's regulator broke so the window was held up with a stick. Mechanic said someone messed with it and installed the cable wrong.

Pros: Powerful V6, Light sensitive headlights. Comfort. 4-wheel Discs. Cons: Doors "breathe", No Ashtray, Engne is hard to work on.
I bought this car after i totalled my 92 Maxima. I had driven domestic before and did not like any that i had previous. However, i was at a wits end when i stumbled across this car at a local chevy dealer. I test drove it, being with my mom i couldnt tear it up as i would usually drive, but the car felt strangely smooth. Steering felt great and responsive just driving off the lot. I also liked the idea of the automatic headlights. I was almost sold on the car until i had seen the price. They were asking for $7000 plus ttl- I was able to Haggle to the reasonable price of $5000+ ttl.
It aslo has about the best Engine-tranny coupling ive felt in any car. Great stock shift points, excellent power. This Car can squeal pretty well for a fwd V6.
