Pros: Fast, sleek, sexy, a dream come true Cons: Slow service runaround, poor customer service on dealer/manufacturer side The Bottom Line: I am hesitant to recommend this car due to reliability issues alone. Porsche, there is no substitute.. for quality customer service!
Porsche, a word synonymous with sexy, fast, classic and yes...pricey. If you are looking to get a practical go to supermarket, pick up the kids, get out the minivan, this one is for thrills alone! Seating is limited to 2 with a veiled attempt to provide...

Pros: Great road feel! Fun to drive! Cons: Would like an option for a super quality audio system
I've owned a lot of cars over the past 35 years, but I've never had as much fun driving one as I have since purchasing my 1999 Porsche Boxster!
I drive my Boxster daily (except in snow and ice) and it is a consistent performer with outstanding...

Pros: Handling and Good Looks Cons: Underpowered Engine
I took delivery of my new Guards Red Boxster a few months ago. It really is a pleasure to drive this beautiful car. I really enjoy the sound of the sweet flat 6 right behind the seat. The exhaust note is just incredible above 4500RPM. I often turn...

Pros: Eye candy, Fantastic control. Cons: Foggy rear window, doesn't run in snow.
The arena red 1999 Porsche Boxster is the prettiest little car I've ever seen. (Arena red is the burgundyish color. It looks terrible on the sample plate, but on the car it's by far my favorite. <Though I do have a soft spot for the black Boxster...

Pros: attention grabber, great handling, fun fun fun Cons: small trunk, lousy dealer service
I leased this car because I have always dreamt about owning a Porsche. Now it has been a reality for the last 15 months. I have a 1999 Boxster (manual).
The car has been truly amazing to drive - when it works. I seem to be one of the...

Pros: Excellent handling, very well made, excellent dealer service, 4YR warranty Cons: Expensive maintenance, lack of low-end torque
I've owned a '99 Boxster with all factory performance driving options (traction control, 17" wheels, stiffer suspension) since 8/98. It has been an amazing ride. Excellent handling, bar none. Usual Porsche "surprise oversteer" at the...

Pros: Handling is superior, great mpg!! Cons: air conditioning...condensation runs in floorboard
I drive a 1999 Porsche Boxster. For the most part, I am extremely pleased with the car. It handles smoothly, gets great Gas mileage, shifts easily, and really turns heads!
I do have a problem with the vehicle. When the top is down, I run...

Pros: Great feel and performance, fun Cons: Pricy, bad looks from people, not much storage.
The only bad thing about this vehicle is how people look at you in envy as you pull up to the intersection with it. This car is the ultimate in driving pleasure. I am a big fan of all 2 door roadster convertibles. They are the greatest cars in the world....

Pros: Head-turning looks, superb handling Cons: Almost zero utility. The Bottom Line: Both men and women lose their cool over this car. You don't have to ask... they BEG to go for a ride! Better than washboard abs or breast implants.
Probably the most luxurious true sports car. Extraordinary seating comfort and amenities (climate controlled A/C, CD player, cruise control, heated seats) do not detract from the exhilarating slot-car handling. Truly breathtaking styling inside and out....

What can I say about this car. There are the best type of cars that you can buy. The top speed is around 155. Thats as far as I have pushed it though. You should get a manual transmission because it looks better when inside the car, and...

Pros: The Upside: The boxster was a great drive. It handled very well - even at 120 going into an arching curve in the road. The interior was well apportioned and very comfortable on the long drive. The center mounted engine gives this car an incredible center o Cons: The downside: Underpowered. This car needs a turbo option from the factory. While there are aftermarket turbo kits for the Boxster - the average owner is not likely to go this route. As I said (wrote), it's quick, but not fast - especially off the line. Al
I drove the Boxster (with the sport package)for four days heading out to Cape Hatteras in North Carolina, and was able to put it through the paces in a number of different conditions (wet, dry, long straight-a-ways, and sharp curves).

Pros: Super Suspension, Extremely agile, most prestigious vehicle for under 50k Cons: Steering wheel shakes after much use, small gas tank, poor low end power The Bottom Line: Definitely go for it. It is the most prestigious and most fun set of wheels you will find for its cost.
I have been driving this car for about 2 years and have been very pleased overall.
However, I am going to seek the new m3 for my next car for various reasons. Firstly, if I am spending that Kind of money, why should I settle for a 0-60 in...

Pros: Great handling with very solid frame and very good value. Hard to beat overall. Cons: If you get past the fact there are no cup holders and high maintenance costs.
My boxter has been a great little car. It handles extremly well as you expect for a Porsche.
The car is fun to drive and I have had only had minor problems. There is a front and rear truck which has been sufficient for me. However, if you have large items you definitely need another car as well.
There are no cup holders which I hate when driving. The small truck is pretty small but gets the job done well. Handling has been great.
One issue oil changes cost nearly $180 a pop but only need to be done every 5 K miles.
Overall I am very pleased with my car and love it. I'm hard pressed to find another car that I can both afford and that has all to offer you get with a Porsche.
