1999 Suzuki Vitara

Pros: It looks good, is very versatile and drives great.
Cons: No sunroof, it had a cassette deck, I replaced it with and Alpine CDM-7861

I bought the Vitara last year and it has been my "everything ride".

First of all, It's very comfortable to drive let alone ride in. I drove mine from North Carolina to New York and it felt great. We were comfortable all even with all the normal stops of course.

Secondly, I love the fold down seats and the cargo room for transporting stuff, lots of stuff. It's like having a sedan,station wagon and pickup all in one.

And Furthermore, I love the way it handles because it gives me extra power when I need it, especially when it comes to passing and towing my riding mower.

Pros: The vehicle has great head & leg room for a 6'4" spouse.
Cons: Hard to find places that will repair and service the vehicle

I have a 4-dr 1999 vitara and the drivers power window control button is broken. You cannot just replace the button you must replace the entire control panel which costs $275.00 not including labor. This makes a enjoyable vehicle disappointing with the waste of the control panel that only needs one button fixed.

Pros: great ride and gas mileage.
Cons: The vehicle had been great with the exception of the availability of parts/cost!!!

Love the car... the style and interior are perfect for our family of two. We have no problem getting my parents (80) in and out so works great... With only 72K on it, the 'combo switch' went out. Then to replace it, well only the dealer carries it (no after market part), and it is back ordered for three weeks ! The part is $407.00!! Now this part only works all lighting of the vehicle... such as dash and rear running lights!!! I have not been able to drive the car in the dark now for a month!!! The part STILL has not come in!!!
