Pros: Good for moving/pulling stuff, as well as just the general ride. Cons: None we have found!
My husband and I have a Chevy S-10 that he purchased in April of 1997.
It now has 100,000 miles and is running just as good as ever.
After three accidents (ok, I didn't say we could drive!), our truck looks like it has been to the...

Pros: Lot of power, fun to drive Cons: hump in the floor on passenger side, little annoying
In 1996 my daughter and I were out looking at cars, something both of us could drive. At the end of the day we came back to this 1996 Chevy S-10, that she really liked. I was hoping to get a bigger truck. But after driving this truck [ LS extended...

Pros: Good performance, easy to operate, trouble free. Cons: Looks, and seats are small
A good all around vehicle. We needed a four wheel drive for winter. Frankly, the S-10 was at the bottom of our list. We have not liked GM products. Surprise, surprise, we now own an S-10 and love it. Our shopping involves the Ford Ranger, Nissan...

Pros: None underneath Cons: Ask Bill Gates for a loan
First off, let me tell you a little about myself and how I have come to this type of review.
I am a 40 year old state of Michigan mechanic, certified in steering and suspension systems. I am considered an expert in the field of undercar...

Pros: Powerful V-6; good build quality; lots of dealers for service; great mileage; great air conditioner Cons: WAY too many plastic interior pieces; warranty needs to be longer for what you pay
Bought mine new in June, 2000. Heavily discounted and huge rebates from GM made it a good buy; comparing it to a Ford Ranger with its' smaller engine and seats that look as if they came out of a city bus helped make my final decision.
I...

Pros: Excellent ride and performance from six cylinder, Reliable Cons: Cramped Rear Seats, Underpowered 4 Cylinder Model, No Rear Speakers on 3rd Door Model
When in the market for a compact truck, I did my research on all brand names and varieties. My family used to own a 1996 S-10 with a four cylinder engine. The truck was great except for the fact that it used an underpowered 4 cylinder engine. ...

Pros: easy handling; low price; good mpg Cons: seatbelt not intended for short people; it was hard to find an automatic transmission
I've only had my year 2000 Chevy S-10 LS for a couple of months, and so far am very happy with it. I've driven two other pickups in the past - a Ford and a Dodge, both full-sized half-tons. This little S-10 has a whole lot more pep than either of those...

Pros: Good for light towing & hauling, 4W for snow Cons: Not good for 4 Wheeling
We bought our 1997 4W S-10 LS in November of 96. Of course the truck was over-priced and we were over budgeted, but we really loved our truck. We wanted a vehicle for camping and light four-wheel drive off road traveling. We picked the S-10 because we...

Pros: Long Lasting Cons: Extended Cab not roomy enough
The Chevrolet S-10 Extended cab, is a great truck. I've owned one for 9 years now and it still has the same engine that it came with. It is still running great. It is great for hauling furniture or anything else you might want. I've also used it pull...

Pros: Reliable with Power to Spare Cons: Unsupportive Seats on Long Drives
In 1994, I bought this truck with the Two Tone paint, Black and Teal. It has a vortec v6 with extended cab and I will tell you all that it has been everywhere and never left me stranded. I have had it in the hill country fishing, and driven it for long...

Pros: Lots of room, spiffies, and a powerful motor Cons: the finance department at our dealership
Recently I bought a new Chevy S-10 Extended Cab Pickup Truck.
We decided it was time to make this purchase based on these things:
1. I found that the things I needed to fix on my Ford Ranger Pickup were going to cost about $2000....

Pros: Economical, Useful, Comfortable Cons: Small Payload
I'm writing about my 1997 Chevy S-10 LS with 3rd door option. I've put about 25,000 miles on in the past year, and am qualified to say it's a great truck. I drive 90 miles to and from work, and average 23-25 miles per gallon. With some of the hilly...
