Pros: Performance, styling, smooth engine and transmission, infrequent oil changes, safety (both active and passive) Cons: Price, dash and interior design, rear leg space, cabin space The Bottom Line: If you have money and are willing to spend it for this car, I highly recommend doing do.
The BMW 3-series is not a “value-priced” car. I read that BMW has the largest profit margin of all car manufacturers – 11% of the car’s price is BMW’s profit.
The 325i sedan prices start around $27-28K and if you want...

Pros: Wagon versatility, glue-like traction, BMW solidity, in-line six engine, great seats, gas mileage Cons: BMWs are not for everyone due to cost of infrequent repairs The Bottom Line: A great, versatile, fun car. Find a private BMWCCA-listed BMW mechanic and you won't regret it. Be prepared to pay for infrequent but not inexpensive repairs.
I bought my 325xiT used with 32,000 miles. I am now in my 3rd winter with the car, it now has over 70,000 on it. I am sharing my mixed experiences with the vehicle. This is my 3rd BMW, all of which have been 3 series. I still have my 1994 325i ...

Pros: Handling, Performance, Safety, Style, Great~value~if~options~chosen~wisely, Can~take~delivery~in~Europe, Many~choice~of~body~styles Cons: Could end up with expensive "entry-level" BMW if not careful with options and needs The Bottom Line: A perfect blend of performance and luxury, while looking great and providing a joyful drive. European Delivery is a great option to consider.
I thought I'd take a different approach to the car Epinion. This one will be about comparing the 325 and the 330 models of BMW's most popular 3-series for the year 2001. I will go through the differences, the options and what they are intended for, so...

Pros: smooth handling, quiet powerful engine, luxurious interior, sleek styling, overall fun drive Cons: maintenance The Bottom Line: The 2001 BMW 325i epitomizes the spirit of the luxury sports sedan. In short, you want the Ultimate Driving Machine? You want the 325i.
When I was shopping for a compact luxury car a few months ago, I considered all of the top names. After driving a 1992 Saturn SL2 for 8 years, I figured I should have fun test-driving. So I made visits to Audi, Mercedes, Lexus, and BMW before making a...

Pros: Beautiful, classy, fine handling and packed with technological goodies and engineering expertise Cons: Only that E46 is being replaced with a new 3-series design The Bottom Line: Highly recommended!
I recently purchased my 2001 BMW 325Cic (convertible) and I absolutely love it. I bought it from United BMW of Roswell Georgia as a CPO (Certified Pre-Owned) program car. I'd spotted it on their lot after-hours and approached the dealership with a ...

Pros: Handling, braking, acceleration, tasteful interior, engine music, fun! Cons: I cannot drive it while I am asleep The Bottom Line: The price point allows access to BMWs best engineering features-smooth powerful engines, strong brakes and road hugging suspension.
I have been driving a 2001 BMW325i for the past 9 months and thought it about time I say a few (i.e many) words about the car, particularly in light of the many Troll reviews that "grace" the pages of epinions.
Much of what you will read is common...

Pros: BMW prestige, great handling, braking, smooth ride, safety, nice interior Cons: BMW image, high price, reliability concerns, dealer service waits, small The Bottom Line: If you value handling over luxury, value, amenities, and spaciousness, the BMW 325i is hard to beat. If you want an affordable sporty and cush cruiser, keep looking.
The new 325i finally gets the engine size matched up with the nomenclature, and adds a few more hp in the process, but its not the car for everyone, and specifically, not for me. The BMW 3 series is probably the best driving car in its class, its safe...

Pros: Handling, Reliability, Driver Comfort Cons: Interior Space The Bottom Line: Buy it, and if you are wondering whether it's worth it to buy a 2ndhand one, trust me, it is.
I purchased my 2001 325iA only a few months ago from an private party individual. The price paid reflects a car that had 21,000 miles on it. Part of the difficulty in purchasing the car was that it was impossible for me to find a dealer that would...

Pros: looks great, reliable, gobs of torque, speedy Cons: pricey, not great without options package The Bottom Line: It's a driver's car and for those that want to enjoy their time behind the wheel.
BMW has always been known for making sporty cars and when you buy a BMW, you are paying for the name. It's a great car, but if you don't care about brand name and just want a car to get you from point A to point B, the BMW is not for you.
The...

Pros: Classic looks, safety features, quiet & smooth ride while maintaining great handling. Cons: Pricey, slight delay when punching the accelerator before actual speed boost. The Bottom Line: A great mix of comfort and performance with top-notch safety and security. The only way to go wrong with this car is if you can't really afford the payments.
I recall the days when I used to make fun of Beamer owners... those super yuppies with their slick cars and golf clubs. Well, now I have joined their ranks. Forget the golf clubs, this car is great.
I seem to be one of the few who dislike...

Pros: Smooth powerful engine, excellent seats, surgically precise steering, outstanding ergonomics, superb engineering Cons: Steering too light, coupe doors are l-o-n-g, not much else The Bottom Line: The 325Ci is like Hawaii - you just can't imagine it can be as beautiful as the pictures, and then you discover it's even better. Worth every penny.
It was difficult if not impossible to keep my expectations from running out of control during the interminably long wait for my car. I started the process of buying this car last July and finally took delivery Jan 5, a period of some 6 months. Much of...

Pros: Silky smooth engine, tasteful interior, a sense of connection with the road Cons: Pricey options, no overdrive gear, CD player not standard The Bottom Line: Words are not able to describe this car accurately... go for a test drive and experience it for yourself.
After 7 years of driving GM products I finally decided to expand my horizons and purchased a metallic gray 325 sedan with the premium package, sport package, upgraded stereo, CD player and leather. This was a definite step up from my 1998 Chevrolet...

Pros: Excellent steering accuracy, neutral handling, excellent ride/handling compromise, perfect engine and transmission! Cons: Great deal compared to cars in its class... small/expensive compared to a family car. The Bottom Line: This car isnt for everyone. If_you_think_driving_is_to_get from_A-to-B, get_some_cheap_Ford_or_Toyota. But_if_you_are a_car_enthusiast, and_have_the_average 2.5 kids_and_want the fun, no other sports sedan is better than the BMW 3-series.
On the paper, the BMW 325 seems to be a big joke, just an awful car with minimal power and room. And that's what everybody thinks who have never driven it before or dislike BMWs because of their image.
But when you just push down on the...

Pros: Semi-affordable luxury, nice factory wheels, exceptional quality and most of all, it's a BMW. Cons: The 184 hp 2.5 six is underpowered and could use more room. The Bottom Line: This car is pure luxury. Its performance is good but if that is more important to you, consider the Acura Type S.
First of all, I am not going to write about stats and numbers about the BMW 325, those can be found at edmunds.com, car magazines, etc.
1. The base price is at around $29 US, but most that are available are loaded and price will carry from the...

Pros: telepathic steering, incredible brakes, many safety features standard Cons: price, base model has nearly nothing standard The Bottom Line: Get the manual transmission and you will never complain about the lack of horsepower, which is this car's only true weakness. Careful on the options, they can be costly!
There's a reason why the BMW 3-Series is the best-selling vehicle in BMW's entire lineup, and why it has been continually praised by numerous automobile magazines - because it truly is a fantastic all-around sedan. I recently purchased a 2001 Jet Black...
