Pros: Fun, fun, fun; great engines, entertaining chassis Cons: Far more expensive than a Miata; 3.0 may be a bit much for some The Bottom Line: Build quality could be better, but very fun to drive.
Every once in a while I toy with the idea of getting a small roadster as a second car. Probably a Miata. I drove one again recently, and if I ever find the time to review it you’ll learn why I think it’s great fun to drive, as long as you don’t have to ...

Pros: Scary fast, aggressive styling, gearbox, massive engine and brakes. Cons: Squirrelly rear suspension, people gawking, plastic rear window. The Bottom Line: As the final evolution of the Z3, the S54-powered M Roadster fulfills its destiny with aplomb. It outhandles and accelerates cars twice its price.
I think I'm qualified to say a few words on the Z3 and M Roadsters, having owned both. I've had my 2001 M Roadster since June 2001 and have 14460 miles on it right now. I've been able to drive just about every roadster in between, before settling on ...

Pros: Style, performance, price. This is 'the' roadster. Cons: Limited colour range compared to some competitors The Bottom Line: : Test drive it and then fall in love with it. You'll keep this car forever.
This cloudy afternoon saw the Joester making a pilgrimage down to one of the local BMW dealerships to take an extended spin in the Z3 Roadster 3.0i. After two hours putting this little sex machine through its paces, I wanted to take it home with me. I...

Pros: Unique looks and performance of BMW's inline six Cons: Not recommended for winter driving The Bottom Line: Driving Z3 top-down in warm, breezy days is exhilarating. But for all-weather driving, look at Audi TT, A4 convertible and Mercedes SLK.
***UPDATED REPORT*** I bought a dark steel gray Z3 2.5 with steptronic transmission and premium package. I got the Dinan cold-air intake and software upgrades. I also got the matching hardtop for winter driving that I regret buying, but more on that ...

Pros: Sweet musical engine and exhaust sounds, Handling, Feeling of connection with car Cons: Lots of interior flaws, Looks ugly, Pricey The Bottom Line: Driving in the Z3 Coupe, you probably look silly with that grin on your face in the ugliest BMW ever made, but little do others know what you're feeling.
BMW Z3 Coupe 3.0i, 5-Speed Manual
The Z3 Coupe is the car I used to love to hate. Its side profile and rear views are ugly as sin, due to the awkward-looking rear section that doesn't quite look like a hatchback and doesn't quite look...

Pros: Fast, Fast BMW. The handling reads your mind 0.5 seconds into the future Cons: Cramped, not as luxurious as some other vehicles The Bottom Line: If you're under 6'1 and want an extremely agile, fast, and fairly luxurious sports car that doesn't really look like anything else on the road, GET THIS CAR.
My wife and I just bought a brand-new BMW Z3 Coupe yesterday. Dealers seem to want to get rid of this car and we got it for significantly under invoice. This was my wife's car so she was choosing. As I'm a bit over 6'3, I said she could have any car...

I recently drove the BMW M Roadster Z3 and was completely amazed. In my opinion, this car is always perfect in every way. I loved everything about the drive. The car handled perfectly, it accelerated perfectly, and most importantly, it was a blast to...

Pros: The 0-60 times are astounding, yet controlled. Dialed-in handling, cool car all around Cons: $$$$$, May be to small for average size or larger drivers. The Bottom Line: If you are between a Boxster S, a Corvette and an M this is a car that is worth a look a drive and some serious thought.
Picture yourself driving a car the size of a go-cart with a corvette engine. Picture yourself with the top down, the wind blowing through your hair (in my case scalp), accelerating from 0 to 60 in 4.5 seconds. Picture yourself in a car that wraps...

Pros: Great handling, powerful, luxurious Cons: price, cramped, low fuel efficiency The Bottom Line: Enjoy driving again and the cost will be worth it.
I bought my mom a Z3 3.0 late last year as a birthday present. She loves it very much and lets me drive it when she goes out of town.
PROS:
1. Powerful engine: In true BMW tradition, the engine in the Z3 3.0 is quite powerful, step on the...

Pros: HUGE FUN - Awesome styling, outstanding fit and finish, great performance on the road. Cons: High price, plastic rear window, sparce storage The Bottom Line: People who value style and performance should consider this car. It is neither the cheapest nor most expensive car in it's class, but it may be the best.
We baby boomers still have an urge for a car that is nothing but pure unadulterated fun. I recall the mixed emotions I had owning a Fiat X1/9 20 years ago..... it ran great, when it wasn't in the shop. Remember, we were the ones who bought up all those...

Pros: Beautiful like a Victoria's Secret Model without the attitude, classic, maxed out fun factor! Cons: Ugly wood console, the fact that they don't make them any more, WHY WHY WHY! The Bottom Line: The most fun you could have on a date with a hot looking sweetie . . . and you are the only person in the car!
I am new to this site. This is my second review. I might write a review of the 27 or so cars I have owned. If I do, it will be in order of most favorite to least I suppose. So clearly, this is my 2nd favorite all time car model. History ...

Pros: Engine, interior styling, exterior styling, price Cons: Plastic window, equipment content The Bottom Line: Great quality and performance at half the price of its competitors. While this comes at the expense of content, if your focus is driving, you won't be disappointed.
Silver & black, premium package, 3.0. Daily driver.
Other cars I own are a 1997 Mazda Miata and a 2001 BMW M Coupe. I also have spent significant time driving a 2001 Porsche 911 Cabriolet.
The engine is fabulous. It has great...

Pros: Original sports car that's be evolved since the 1930's. Cons: Cost about 35,000 but to those who can afford it, what a car! The Bottom Line: It's sleek body, powerful engine that's as quiet as a mouse, ability to hug turns, will take your breath away.
The Z3 roadster is what legends are made of. This car was created all the way back in the 1930's and has represented the phenomenal quality and an amazing passion for driving. The Z3 roadster is a sports car that's meant for two people. It still has...

Pros: Everything about the car. Cons: drinks in the cup holders always get in the way The Bottom Line: BUY ONE..........for the most fun driving since you got your license
I recently purchased an 01 Z3 in immaculate condition, it has 12000 miles and absolutely no blemishes anywhere on the vehicle. It is red with black interior, 5 speed trans, and even the "new car" smell is still there. I purchased it from a local dealer ...
