Pros: Sporty, great for parking and merging, looks FAB! Cons: Never know when mechanical issues might occur, or who will pay to fix them. The Bottom Line: It breaks my heart to say; Unless the more recent models have worked out the computer bugs, let it go.
This car was my first new car and I would just love to report it to be the dream I want it to be, but I can't. There's something wrong with the computer, which causes the motor to drag and even quit completely in some cases. The alarm has never worked a ...

Pros: Great Looks Top Up or Down...excellent power for a 4 cylinder...Lots of Extras included Cons: The Paint on the Door Handles...that really bugs me The Bottom Line: This is a great little convertible with lots of power and extras....excellent gas mileage.....lots of style
I purchased my 2001 Cabrio in April of 2003, it only had 14,000 miles on it and it honestly still had the "new" car smell. It was a lease surrender. I kept the car over the weekend to test drive it and found myself very impressed with this car. It ...

Pros: Cute, small, cool interior lighting Cons: Something new breaks every other day! The Bottom Line: DO NOT BUY THIS CAR. You will have it in the shop way more than on the road!
I have a 2001 Cabrio that I bought about a year and a half ago and it has had problem after problem. First I noticed the car did not seem to be running right. It would not speed up quickly when I pulled out and when I hit the gas it would putter before...

Pros: Its a cute car Cons: I haven't had the chance to drive it
I have had my Cabrio for a little more than 4 months and the problems just don't stop. Within the first week, the gas tank needed to be replaced, which took a couple of days until they could locate another one. The oil has been a persistent problem,...

Pros: for the money, this is a very luxurious high performance convertable.
Cons: for people over 6'5" it may not offer as much head room as necessary The Bottom Line: without a doubt a very fun car to drive. leaves other cars in the same price range in the dust as to available options and fun to look at .
The first thing that struck me was the dash. It is not your typical dashboard material that you would find in most cars today. That in itself gave the interior a nastalgic feel. A throwback to the good old days with all the features of modern luxury...

Pros: Handling and Steering Cons: Rear-Seats (rooom, entry/exit) The Bottom Line: This is a solid convertible with good road manners.
It didn't take long before I set eyes on this car at the Volkswagon dealership. This car, however, is for my brother, Howard. Howard, has the same taste as I do, and we are both in love with the same car, the 2001 Cabrio. We each take turn to take it...

Pros: NONE Cons: poor reliability, rough idle, leaks water, security system bad, dealerships treats customers terribly. The Bottom Line: stay away from this and all VW cars, especially those manufactured in Mexico

Pros: Adorable. Stylish. Cute. This is a really fun car to drive. Cons: Too many mechanical, electrical issues. Repairs are expensive.
I had wanted one of these cars for a long time. I bought mine a year ago and almost (just almost) wish I didn't. I love driving it but nearly every week something else goes wrong.
I've had to have the top replaced because the rear defrost broke.
My radio turned itself off one day and wouldn't come back on. I had to retrieve a special code apparently to deactivate a security system that is supposed to prevent thieves from using it but it prevented me from using it. I have a new warning light come on frequently, but then they go off. I'm not sure if it's just the faulty cluster (the electronics component that talks the car and eventually the mechanic, I'm told) or if there really is something wrong with my engine or my ABS system or whatever other light is on for the day.
But.....even with all of the problems I don't yet regret my purchase and I haven't even thought about getting a new car. I really do love it. Well we have a love hate relationship anyway.

Pros: perfect for any women 5'5" or shorter Cons: not worth the money or hassle, unless you like to play Russian Roulette.
This car is the empitamy of problems. Do not buy one just cause its cute!
The day I drove it off lot I should have left it there. Already sputtering and engine failed.
They said it just need to be tuned up! Supposedly fixed the problem and I still took it home. Dumb move.
Problem after repeating problem.
Best part is VW wont help but take my money from my wallet.
Over 800 problems in the electrical system, your check engine light will come on for!
German car made in Mexico...says it all!!

Pros: Very safty oriented car, lots of options that are easy to use. Cons: You can't lock the doors without setting the intergrated alarm system!
This is an awsome litte car. My wife wanted something with better gas mileage and found it in the Cabrio. It is 100% girly car!!! Everything is very easy to use from the top to the cd changer. Here in Ohio the winter options are quite welcome, the heated leather seats and the insulated top along with the heated side view mirrors. The traction in the snow is outstanding, with 4 wheel disc anti-lock breaks. She has been getting 26-30 MPG just running around and 35+ on the interstate. With the 115hp 4 banger its not the quickest thing on the road, but, it will get up and move out once you get to 50. I am 5'10" and 250lbs and have plenty of room in this litle girlie car!!!
