Pros: Will run forever!
Excellent Honda service Cons: Air conditioning could be stronger
I purchased my 2002 Honda Civic LX in March of 2002 as my first car (I was previously living in New York City where I never needed one). Since that time I have lived all over the country and been in every type of weather, and have never once regretted ...

Pros: excellent quality, smooth powertrain, much improved steering over 2001 models Cons: somewhat bland styling, a bit tight up front for tall guys like me
Last year I was in the market for a car. One of the first cars I looked at was the 2001 Honda Civic. Having owned and loved an Acura Integra at one time, I was very familiar with Honda products and what they offer in terms of quality, reliability and...

Pros: Unreal gas mileage, fast engine, smooth acceleration, SAFE, SAFE, SAFE Cons: Everyone has one and a tad bumpy at times
I had a 1999 Toyota RAV4, but due to some financial downfall, we needed to unload the monthly $440 payment. I was sad to see the RAV go, but was excited in looking at the 2002 models and doing a lot of research.
We knew we didn't want to spend...

Pros: O.K. brakes, tight steering (sort of), reliable, mediocre gas mileage Cons: Weak unit-body design, far too many rattles! loses structural rigidity rapidly after purchase, cheap feel
I was relatively happy, but skeptical when I went in to pick up this car. It was my first new car. Before this, I drove a '95 Toyota 4runner which was an exceptional truck and I never really wanted to give it up! I live in a mountain town with lots of ...

Pros: Roomy, silky powertrain, quality construction, excellent value Cons: Clompy suspension, mushy brakes, weight, no fun to drive
After struggling for 3 years with a 1999 Saab 9-3 that was unreliable even by Saabs low standards, I traded in for a new 2002 Honda Civic LX. Three hours of research and 15 minutes of negotiation got me a 3-year lease for $1300 down and $153 a...

I purchased my Honda Civic Ex a year ago and will attempt now to elucidate some of my observations about the performance and quality or lack thereof in this car from a consumer (not an expert) point of view.
Exterior:
Beautiful colors...

Pros: Clean looks.
Great gas mileage. Cons: Interior rattles.
Too many people buy it and assume its a race car.
Being the proud owner of a 2002 Civic LX-G (Canadian) Sedan, I often find myself perusing various message forums on all sorts of topics relating to imports, import racing, and hondas. Time and time again I hear negative comments about the 7th generation...

Pros: Nice re-desinged interior & colors Cons: LESS leg room for driver, vents are defective
After 8 years on Civic # 2 I bought a 2002 Civic EX.
I like the new design and the consideration of all the new safety features of which Honda does very well.
When at the dealership- and looking at the 2002 civics and accords the...

Pros: High quality car with great gas mileage Cons: A bit underpowered with a few ergonomic shortcomings.
My wife and I are a middle-aged couple with 2 young children. We were looking to replace our '92 Protege (great reliable car!) and we narrowed it down to the 2002 Civic and the 2003 Corolla. We eliminated the Protege early on because of its dated...

Pros: Quiet, roomy, classy and fun to drive. Heavy ABS brakes (EX) Cons: occasional bouncy ride. gas gauge has a mind of its own.
I sold my SUV, and I haven't had this much fun driving since my VW GTi. I visited Honda to buy the Accord, but I drove off with the Civic. Why?
Incentives: Honda throws a good clearance program that's easy to understand. I got $2000 cash back...
