Pros: Style, refinement, power, stable handling, better than expected ride Cons: Seat adjustments, lacks sharp responses, shifter
I could introduce my review of the new MINI in so many ways. I could discuss the technological significance of the original MINI, which demonstrated how an interior suitable for adults could be packaged within a tiny car (just over ten feet in length) ...

Pros: A wonderful car in almost ever manner Cons: One huge problem
Most of us have seen the snazzy Mini Cooper wondering the streets by now and either loved the looks or thought the car would be better of staying overseas where the it was born. Regardless of your initial reaction, it is a great automobile with one...

Pros: relatively inexpensive for BMW engine powered car Cons: Foolish little vehicle which should be taunted and laughed at
A MINI Cooper S showed up where I hang out recently, and everyone seemed in awe of the little car. Convinced that this car was the most foolish car since the YUGO, I had to go see what the big deal was myself.
The love of the MINI Cooper seems...

Pros: British Fun, German reliability. Easy to park. Cons: Back seat only for infant seats or people you hate. SUVs dont see it.
It was after much anticipation that I finally got my chance to test drive a new Mini. I had long loved the original, but only from afar, having had more than enough experience with British cars, much of said experience involving roadside repairs. The...

Pros: Super stylish car at a super cool price, impressive standard features Cons: The crash and mechanical reports aren't in yet, will it hold up?
Overview:
They’re here! The 2002 MINI Cooper, the latest car from BMW has arrived. Though they’ve been widely marketed in Europe since the 1960’s, this is the first time that they are widely available in the US. They’ve enjoyed a cult...

Pros: Kind of cute, cute name, featured in Mike Myers and Mark Wahlberg movies. Cons: Harsh ride, looks like a lunchbox, not a real Mini, pygmy in the SUV jungle.
Note: This is a review of the MINI Cooper S, which I own, not the MINI Cooper, which I do not own, nor have I driven, but which I would own, however, if I could afford a second MINI. See Cooper or Cooper S? below.
Prospective MINI...

Pros: Excellent handling, easily squeezes into tight spots, all-around cool Cons: Look elsewhere if you have 3+ kids, stick with the stick
A couple caveats about the Cooper S: It's a sports car, not a compact car The trunk is small, by most standards It's a standard transmission only A couple caveats about myself: I don't play golf, I don't need to fit armoires in my trunk I like ...

Pros: Good gas mileage, easy to drive, lots of standard features. Cons: None to speak of.
If you saw any of those 1-2 star reviews, I can tell you that either they don't own a mini-cooper or they're just braindead. I've had mine for a few months now and I have nothing negative to say about it. I'll cover what I think matters to most people. ...

Pros: stylish, quick, city friendly, economical, easy, fun, comfortable, great history Cons: small, no storage, shifting/racing ride
So happy with my lovely MINI COOPER. I really liked my Land Rover, but the maintenance and the gas costs were just getting out of hand. The look of the MINI had really caught my eye, I love British cars and the history of the MINIs is fascinating. When ...

Pros: Style, size and fuel economy Cons: limited rear passenger space
As a fan of the original mini (note the lower case) I've been interested in this car for years. While the original mini hasn't been sold in the US since the 60's it has grown a cult following. This is evidenced by the fact that while only 10,000 were...

Pros: Awesome styling, great price, BMW service and reliability Cons: ** NO LOANER CARS **, horrendous distribution centers (my car was delivered without heat)
The car drives wonderfully, gets great gas mileage, and certainly is a head turner. However, I wouldn't buy another one because BMW/Mini refuses to offer loaner cars when the car is in for servicing. Loaner cars are extremely important - since 2002 is...

8-10-2002 Addendum & Much Info To Car Enthusiasts!
How Can anybody sleep on the wheels of the MINI? Not me, for sure! Gawking passersby and fellow drivers won't give you that luxury.

Pros: Cool, new and different...inexpensive, peppy, fun, nice for cities, good gas mileage. Cons: Too small for some, small back seat, how much can you get for under $20k?
I recently had the pleasure to test drive a new blue Mini Cooper, which was brought to an auto club I belong to.
The car is a hot product right now, and is one which will allow the driver to get noticed. For those who like different, this...

Pros: Excellent engineering, outstanding value, puts fun back in driving Cons: Didn't get it sooner
This is a well engineered auto with great small car performance. You can't drive it without a smile! I am impressed with the handling as it just loves to go around corners. The transmission is Porsche like in its smooth and quick action. The engine...

Pros: Great Style, Looks & Design. Eye Catcher Cons: Limited Service Areas. Hard to work with Dealer.
I purchased this car on the 22nd of March when they came out. I have no complaints about the car. The only complaints I have are for the dealer, who is still trying to assure me that they did me a favor even selling me one. I have had to take it in...
