Pros: Some Space, Holds lots of Bodies, Towing Cons: Handling, Maneuverability, Space not Great, Still a Truck, Out-Dated Emissions Standard The Bottom Line: It handles like a bigger SUV, without space, high ground clearance and smaller doors made utilizing the space a chore, gas mileage is bad. Towing is the only major strength.
After moving into our house last March, I determined it would be the last time I moved...ever! Okay, for a couple of years anyway. Unfortunately, some friends recently needed some help moving and being the push over that I am, I agreed to help. ...

Pros: Size. Carrying capacity. View of the road. Security. Cons: Operating expense. The Bottom Line: If they made a vehicle that does what this one does and gets 40 miles per gallon, it would be perfect. In the meantime, the Tahoe comes close.
I bought my Tahoe for suburban homeowner trips to the lawn and garden center, for weekend getaways w ...

Pros: Towing, Cargo space, Comfort for driver and passengers, nice options Cons: Mileage, and related concern of cost to own The Bottom Line: Excellent vehicle for those who want an SUV, terrible as an economy car. Don't buy it if you won't use it (at least semi-frequently) for what it's for!
This is my first and will be my only review of a vehicle on this website. Why? Because I have a job, do not fancy myself to be an automotive journalist, and most importantly THIS IS THE ONLY VEHICLE THAT I OWN.
The strengths of the Tahoe...

Pros: Pulling, maneuverability, Room, E-85 Cons: Interior Fit & Finish, Weak Driving Lights The Bottom Line: It's great vehicle, I would recommend it people who need one. If you are going to be hauling kids and groceries get a minivan.
I purchased mine new and overall I have been very happy with it. (it now has ~ 85K on it) First let me start by saying this is a truck not a little car based SUV. It is built on a truck frame and so it drives and rides like a truck. If you are ...

I am a "soccer mom". We just purchased our new 2003 Tahoe about a month ago. So far, we are in love!
We are not a wealthy family by any means. We were able to purchase the vehicle using the GM Family program, as we have a relative that...

Pros: Room, comfort, features Cons: Gas milage The Bottom Line: "Tahoe is the best in its class" I definately recommend this SUV.
This is my second Tahoe. I previously owned a 2001 that I actually wasnt all that pleased with. But when deciding to get a new 2003 - I still went with the Tahoe again. This is by far the best vehicle I have ever owned. We have two Golden ...

Pros: great tow vehicle, lots of interior space, lots of power Cons: big turning radius, shoddy workmanship. The Bottom Line: It's still a great ride if you want reliable transportation. Just don't abuse it too much or I think it will fall apart.
We bought our Tahoe for the purpose of camping and towing. We don't have a lot of people to haul around, but if we did it would be great. The third row would really come in handy for extra passengers, but for the most part we keep the extra seats in ...

Pros: The comfort, the space, the leather seats, sound system, nice safe size. Cons: The third row seats don't fold into the floor. The Bottom Line: It does the best job for my family and is very safe and secure. I love it! Will probably always drive a Tahoe.
I absolutely LOVE the Tahoe! This is my THIRD! I made the mistake of trading in my second Tahoe for a Ford Escape because I was trying to lower my payment and save money. BAD IDEA! After riding in a Tahoe, the Escape doesn't even compare. The Tahoe has ...

Pros: Seating versatility, overall space, smooth suspension, easy steering, dual air in front. Cons: Running boards are right at shin level when leaning into truck to get stuff.
I love my Tahoe. I love the space, the versatility of the third row seats, and the ability to split the second row for extra space. Bought it because I have one toddler, a baby on the way, and two large dogs. Old truck wasn't big enough anymore. The Tahoe handles great, rides almost like a car. The style is nice, not too big, not too small. The solid rear glass is nice too. I love the dual air in the front, it makes it nice for the wife to be able to adjust her own A/C temp and not complain. Also like the ability to control or not control the rear A/C vents and temps. Not crazy about the shin-knocker running boards.... They hurt. And it is hard for my wife to put our toddler in his carseat in the center while rather large in the belly with 2nd baby. The leather seats wipe clean easy after my toddler plays on them. Overall, I love my Tahoe!
