Pros: Unbelievably fast. Terrific Handling. Beautiful. A Pure Sports Car. Cons: Steep learning curve. Skittish on rough roads. Oiling system modification necessary for track use. The Bottom Line: An amazing car.
To quote Ferris Bueller:
"If you have the means, I highly recommend it."
I'd been dreaming about a Viper for many years now. Ever since the first Viper was announced, I wanted one. First, I lusted after the R/T 10, then the GTS Coupe, and finally the SRT-10. Before I purchased my 2004 SRT-10, I had read a great deal about it. ...

Pros: Refined interior; more powerful; MUCH better brakes; true convertible; exotic styling Cons: Less flamboyant than previous Vipers; gas cap tether is worthless; oil pressure gauge reflection The Bottom Line: As Ferris Bueller would say: "I love driving it... it's so choice. Pros: 500hp, low stance, 500hp, in your face styling, did i mention 500hp! Cons: Gets very hot in the driver's seat, no coupe..yet.
When you get bit by a viper, there is almost no time live anymore. That is the kind of feeling that I got when I first drove my brand new Dodge Viper SRT/10! I knew that if I died there and then, I would die a happy man. I'm not saying that the new Viper is perfect, but it's really close. The Viper is worth the $80,000 especially when other exotics with similar perfomance numbers cost 2x, or even 3x more. This car is actually faster than a $200,000 Ferrari Stradale and a $100,000 Porsche 911 GT3! And many people think that the cockpit gets too hot but does it really matter when your going 0-60mph in less than 4 seconds? You've got my thumbs-up!
