Pros: Fuel economy, reliability, and relative quality. Cons: Not a car for anyone taller than 5'10" or a new driver.
While test driving several compact and sub-compact models (Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Nissan Altima), I took the 2003 Civic out for a spin.
Although small, the civic packs a lot into a little package. The EX I test drove had most the...

Before buying the Honda Civic I had test drove quite a number of cars above and below the Civic's price range. The requirements? - 1) 4 Door (as the wife would say 2 doors are hard for child seats) 2) Automatic 3) Safe 4) Great commuter car - Now mind...

Buying: I replaced my 1996 VW Jetta with the Sport LX version of the 2003 Civic 4 door(Canada). The buying experience was not a great one, as cars seem to have become a commodity sale these days. We visited various Honda dealers in the area with varying ...

Pros: Honda reliability, new for 2003 refined interior, good gas mileage Cons: engine noise noticeable in the city
After my old, old Accord finally succumbed to its 180,000 miles I set out to buy my first new car. I was looking for a reasonably-priced, reliable, fuel-efficient 4-door sedan. As an outdoorsmen, I took a good hard look at Subaru. The sexy Outback...

Pros: Fuel economy, cabin room, quality of finishings, blue lighted dashboard Cons: target for thieves, no rear-trunk remote open, high price for compact sedan
There's only 2 knocks against this car in my mind -- its a target for thieves, and its expensive for its class. Given how many of these cars are on the road, and how popular these are in the resale market, the theft is not a fault of Honda. The LX model...

At the end of March 2003, I purchased a brand new car for the first time in my life. I started off which crappy hand me down American made cars when I was younger and finally ended up trading my old 1990 Accord EX for a few bucks off the new 2003 4DR...
