Pros: great handling, fuel efficiency, comfort, style Cons: cup holder design, location of plug-in for cell phone recharger, fake-wood trim
When our minivan had to go into the shop for some warranty covered body work, we decided to rent a larger car for the week rather than stick with a much smaller loaner car from the dealer. From Enterprise Rent-A-Car, we were given a 2004 Buick ...

2004 Buick LeSabre
by gec343 ,Oct 27 '04
Pros: Fuel mileage, smooth quiet ride, large trunk Cons: High speed cornering
I purchased the new LeSabre in August 2004. My 1994 Saturn with 185000 miles was due for retirement, much like myself. I really didn't want a Buick, but due to my GM Card earnings ($3500) and the $4,000 rebate, it seemed like a good choice.
I now have 4,000 miles on the odometer, and I must say that I am well impressed with the performance, quality and fuel mileage of the vehicle. I recently returned from a 1500 mile trip down South and averaged over 30MPG, which is in my opinion, excellent for a car of this size. The trunk capacity is great. Also, when hauling my four grandchildren around, the car handles very well, except for cornering.
I have no complaints on the car, other than the handling on curves is not quite as good as my old Saturn, however, the ride and suspension on the straight-a-way is excellent. If I had it to do over, I would opt for the Touring suspension option.

Great Car
by mncosanostra ,Nov 27 '04
Pros: Value, comfort, fuel mileage Cons: small engine, but it's a tradeoff for mileage
I don't have much to add here. I love my 2004 LeSabre. It is extremely comfortable (heated leather seats). It is a huge car and gets great mileage. Previously I had a Lincoln Continental, which was a real gas hog. The Buick was a far better value, burns less gas, and is just as comfortable. XM radio is an excellent addition.

2004 Le Saber
by jhk63 ,Aug 02 '04
Pros: Fuel mileage (compared to the Jeep)
Ride comfort, & performance
overall quality is good Cons: I guess poor resale is a drawback for some people.
I bought our 04 Le Saber about 2 months ago, to replace a very troublesome 95 Grand Cherokee. While I will admit it is quite a change, it feels good to have a smooth riding vehicle again. I'll be happy to admit, that the suspension on this car is not meant for road rallies. But, It is meant to be soft, safe & comfortable for long trips, which is the reason most people buy a Buick in the first place. If I care to be jarred apart on a trip, I'll take my Jeep Wrangler. The car has plenty of power,& room, & decent fuel economy, & a LARGE trunk. In short, it is not a kid's toy, or a Corvette. (if that's what You need, DON'T buy a Buick). I also realize that the resale value slips away rather quickly, but it does not concern me.

my red LeSabre
by lilrdwgn ,Nov 03 '04
Pros: Satellite radio, Heads up display and Gas mileage for a car this large. Cons: Front seats are too short for comfort and overall headroom with a sunroof option.
Bought this vehicle to replace a 1995 Mercury Grand Marquis. It is the Celebration edition which basically adds most options to the car but it only comes in three colors. Mine is Red and has as options a sunroof and Satellite radio. One complaint is the sunroof cuts into the headroom. Satellite radio is fantastic and I would highly recommend to anyone who is a music lover as there is commercial free stations. I am surprised Buick does not offer it in their other line of passenger cars. This car is front wheel drive and my old car was rear wheel drive. I am not a front wheel drive fan but GM has done a good job with this design and setup. Reliability is good since there has been no major redesign in several years. The only other complaint I have is the front seats are too short for comfort. It took me a long time to figure out the best position of the front seat to make it livable.
