Pros: Carries 4 adults + 3 kids on long journeys in comfort.
Large cargo capacity. Cons: None, yet.
We've had a Grand Caravan for 4 years, and it was time to trade up. We have 3 kids, so 3 rows of seats is a must on long journeys, we also need a decent amount of trunk space with the 3rd row of seats, so that means either a minivan or a big SUV. The ...

Pros: Spacious, powerful engine, rides smooth, lots of space Cons: Gas mileage, takes up lots of garage space
I ordered my 2004 Chevy Suburban Z71 4wd while in Iraq in November 2003. No joke - there are these British guys with laptops hanging out in the middle east flying around Iraq, Kuwait and Qutar selling brand new US made cars to American servicemen at ...

Pros: Suburbans are a great product with little or no upkeep! Cons: Don't look at me! I'm a 16 time repeat customer!
I've been telling my Suburban story for the last 30 years to anyone who would listen. I guess I told it to GM often enough that they invited me to the first ever Suburban Reunion held at Garner State Park in 1999. I drove a brand new 1999 Suburban LT ...

GREAT BIIIG SUV
by kldesq ,Aug 06 '04
Pros: large size, can haul anything and anyone. very smooth ride. Cons: gas mileage only 17-18 on highway (75mph) 15 or less in town.
Overall: this is a great, large SUV. I'd highly recommend it in the fully loaded, near-luxury LT trim.
We purchased a 2004 Chevrolet Suburban LT in 2wd trim (we live in Texas and don't need the 4wd.) Ours has basically every available option (sticker approximately 46K) We got the "sun and fun package" which is a sun roof and rear seat DVD. I can't explain how great the rear seat DVD is if you have kids--it makes long trips very tolerable..
We also got the second row captains chairs, which I would highly recommend also. They provide for fairly comfortable seating even for full-sized adults.
Our trim also has heated seats which aren't that big of a deal except that you can heat just your back or your butt or both--which is cool!
On the highway this big rig rides nearly as nicely as my CTS--which is really saying something.
Overall you can't go wrong with this rig if you need a large vehicle that can comfortably haul lots of people and things and you can live with getting fairly poor gas mileage.
