Pros: comfort, solid and protective, interior trim is superb Cons: brakes, gas mileage, access to 3rd row seats
My wife was ready to move from a Mercedes ML-320 to something just a bit bigger. Instead, we got much bigger. We have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of this vehicle, however. Competing in the end were the Ford Expedition, the Mercedes ...

Pros: Great size, seats 7, 4x4, plenty of power, rides great, perfect for families! Cons: Eats gas but that was expected. Averages around 20-21 mpg on highway.
This is the second Envoy that we have bought. Our first was the regular length that seats five. The Envoy XL seats 7 very comfortably. We bought the SLE 4x4. We have had no problems with it and highly recommend it. My father in-law liked it so much ...

A great SUV for families
by mtalk ,Oct 18 '04
Pros: interior, dashboard, seats, stereo, rear view mirror, side mirrors, exterior Cons: gas mileage
We just bought our 2004 Envoy XL in August. We love it! Great looking SUV inside and out! Does not look cheap. And, we have enough room for us, our two year old son's car seat, our two dogs, luggage, groceries, and passengers. Love it! We did have a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo which I did like.

More than a Man Van
by drifter29 ,Mar 29 '05
Pros: looks, ride and handling are classy and four-wheel drive is a plus Cons: gas mileage
My wife and kids call it the Man-Van since we upgraded from a mini-van but I call it awesome and it does everything that i wanted in a multi-use family vehicle. Great towing capacity for boats and campers and the four wheel drive is a must in the snowy hills of Pennsylvania. The sound system is more than adequate. Gas mileage is a concern but i guess you have to give up something to get a 7 passenger vehicle with four wheel. I really love the look and the ride however it can be a bit of an inconvenience to get larger kids and grownups into the back seat.
