Pros: The retractable roof, comfy ride, very powerful, features galore. Cons: a bit uneasy on the freeways (especially in the wind), bad blind spots
So I went into my local GMC dealer and bought a new SUV, errr, XUV. (I have not figured out what the X stands for) I bought the Envoy XUV - SLT package. Usually, I do very in-depth research for pricing, options, colors, accessories, etc. This ...
Pros: comfortable, spacious, good rebates, fun "gadget" vehicle, configurable Cons: annoying key fob, gas guzzler, cramped console
I purchased my 2004 Envoy XUV on Dec 31, 2004. I got a combined total of $9,000 in rebates ($6000 GMC, $1,500 from the dealer, $1,500 for getting GMAC financing), plus I qualified for GM supplier pricing. XUVs sold much worse than GM expected, so ...
Pros: Price, power-sliding rear roof, power, comfort, XM satellite pre-installed Cons: Only one is gas mileage which is to be expected with a truck this size
My Wife and I Purchased a GMC Envoy XUV last December and I have grown to love it so much I had to share my satisfaction with all of you. First the specs from GM. . . The most adaptable SUV ever it adjusts to any lifestyle. Standard Vortec ...
Pros: ride, seats, comfort, fuel mileage, reliability, Cons: wish I had a white one instead of silver
I have the 04 XUV with the SLT package, 4wd and leather interior. This thing rides and drives as nice as a cadillac. It handles the snow and ice like a dream, the 4wheel drive is easy to operate. I get 18.4 miles per gallon in the mixed highway - ...
Pros: Versatile cargo area.
Smooth ride.
Cons: Sound system. Interior materials on dash and side panels. Small storage areas. Quality. Craftsmanship.
Since I have never owned an SUV I test drove a few before I bought the Envoy. Because of the versatility, the Envoy XUV is the only SUV that makes sense for hauling varying sizes of cargo. It is too bad they quit making the XUV in April 2005. The roof ...
love my XUV - can't believe I waited so long to get a truck/SUV by smittybo ,Aug 09 '05
Pros: rides nice, roomy, love the roof pulled back Cons: gas mileage, seat belts, small console storage, blind spot
This XUV (special red)is wonderful! I garden and it carries loads and loads of stuff. It is so much better than my car for traveling too. I can go to several stores in 1 trip on my way home from work and stuff it full of plants and gardening stuff - this is great because it saves me so much time. Gas mileage isn't great but since I save time on the weekends by not going back and forth to garden centers/other stores it is well worth it. The ride is smooth enough that I'm surprised I haven't gotten any tickets out on the highway - I just don't notice the speed creeping up - glad I have the speed control. I love driving with the roof open on nice days. I have the 2004 v6 with not many extras - this is my first truck/SUV. I have the running boards too which is very nice since I'm short. My only complaint is the seat belt rubs my neck. I've always had smaller cars and I can manage this XUV like a pro. Turns nice and tight too.
Pros: Fantastic ride and handling. Cons: The seats seem too firm for me.
The best vehicle I have ever owned. This truck is solid and the brakes are really heavy duty. I have 4WD and love it. What a ride, rides better than a caddy!
The seats are firm and a little too firm for me as I have trouble on longer trips. My tailbone gets sore. The seats on our 2004 Caravan I have to say are more comfortable.
Otherwise this truck is the bomb! I switched to Amsoil Synthetic oil and put Bio Pro Gas Chips with the new ERT technology and get over 20mpg with this on the highway.
I bought a 100K warranty but am now thinking it was a waste of money. This truck has never been in for service and drives like the day I bought it. I give it a 10 out of 10!
