Pros: Smooth and quiet ride, good fuel economy, nice interior Cons: The car is great, but needs more incentives to compete with other makes' offers
I just bought a very cheap new car a few weeks ago, and this was my second choice. While I didn't buy the Accent, I did rent it for a week to see if I could live with it as my car (plus I'd sold my problem-laden Galant and needed something to drive ...

Pros: Cheap, economical, reliable transportation Cons: Poorly designed trunk lock
So I bought this car in 2005, brand new, as a "leftover" on the dealers lot. I have a feeling I should have shopped around a bit more, but I didn't end up paying more than I thought I should have. My previous commuter was a Kia Rio 4dr that lasted 8 ...

Pros: Sporty, agile, compact, cargo capable Cons: I can't think of any
I am an admitted Hyundai owner for life, but with the expanding line, it's getting more difficult to decide which one I want the most. I recently rented a Hyundai Accent, 2004 for a roadtrip through rural Alberta, and put it to the test. As with the ...

University Student
by barney09 ,Mar 02 '05
Pros: compact, functional, reliable, and easy Cons: cant carry a huge load, not good for moving or anything
It's reliable, compact, cute and stylish for any university student who's on the go. My dad bought it for me brand new, and I love it. It suits all my needs without being "to much to handle" especially in the busy downtown city where I go to school.

Really Happy with it.
by mvalenta ,Mar 02 '04
Pros: 5 year warranty, and nice features. Cons: Sometimes a noisy engine, but all small cars sound like lawnmowers anyway.
Im really happy with my new Accent. After spending thousands of dollars on repairs and petrol on my 10 year Mazda 626, it was time to replace it with something far more economical ! I did alot of my reviewing of small cars on the internet, and decided on the Hyundai accent because it is excellent value for money. I bought a bright red one with 3 door and manual, and recommend the manual if you want a zippy little runabout that is cheap to keep. Other brand cars just were too expensive or drove like dogs.

Extremely Underrated-Awesome Value
by cbr1100xx ,Jan 27 '06
Pros: Peformance, decent looks, fuel economy, VALUE Cons: paint scratches fairly easily....that's about it.
Bought my '04 hatchback used for $7200 OTD w/less than 5K mi on it. How can you beat that for a practically new car? What's better is the Accent drives very well. I admit I don't drive that much b/c I have a motorcycle that I ride a lot more. But the Accent is unbeatable for the money. I've put 5K mi on it so far and it's been flawless. Yeah the ride is a little harsh compared to more expensive cars but it's got plenty of pep and is really a good car w/good gas mpg too. It doesn't feel cheap at all....just the opposite. If you need basic A-B transportation and don't want to spend a lot of money, look for a used Accent. I love mine. It's the best value out there.
