Pros: Sports-car muscle from V6 engine, comfortable interior, generally confident demeanor with no glaring flaws. Cons: Grabby brakes, unfocused styling, stiff-shifting six-speed, chassis not as well-balanced as some rivals.
My Experience In my opinion, the $30,000 sports-sedan class is home to some of the best cars on the market. These vehicles are expected to offer a wide-ranging blend of performance, handling, and comfort, while still playing the value ...

Pros: Power, rear-drive chassis, rear seat room, price, more character with the six-speed Cons: Marginal interior materials, oversteer overly abrupt, character will not be agreeable to all
The G35 sedan initially was only available with an automatic. While this is very much the sort of car I might buy in the future, I wont buy a car without a manual transmission. Late in 2002 the sedan became available with the same six-speed manual ...

Pros: Beautiful car, fun to drive, great traction control, lots of engine power. Cons: Terrible navigation system with poor interface and outdated database, interior needs some work.
It was time for another car. My husband's Nissan XTerra had served us well, but the gas mileage was terrible and we were in the market for something a little more luxurious. Mr. J had his heart set on a BMW, so we went to the local BMW dealership and ...

Pros: Powerful and smooth V6, comfortable yet sporting ride, great front seats, striking looks.
Cons: Hurricane force wind noise on the freeway, tire roar, pathetic stereo, jittery at speed.
I recently had the opportunity to put a loaded, silver 2004 Infiniti G35 Coupe through the wringer. The car had every option available for the automanual (the various manufacturers have so many different names for these things now that I think ...

Pros: Performance:price ratio, All Wheel Drive, engine & transmission combo, smooth ride, edgy design Cons: Gas mileage, interior plastic, terrible stereo, HVAC controls
My father owns a Black on Black 2004 G35x have been a superb car for the price. I have yet to find something that is away from the typical BMW/Audi/Mercedes that turns heads. And I have driven this car more than enough to give my impression on the ...

Pros: Power, handling, communicative steering, stiff chassis, price, just plain fun to drive Cons: Cheap interior, fuel flow valve, defective radio, eats tires
I have had a 2004 Infiniti G35 Coupe 6MT (what a mouthful) for the a little more than 12 months. I'm currently stationed in Germany and I have been able to run notoriously twisty B-roads, no-speed-limit autobahns, and the Nurburgring, as well as dry, ...

Pros: - value, engine, classy looks, RWD Cons: - handling, steering, brakes might use some fine tuning.
My wife and I have been thinking of what we are going to replace our 1997 Audi A4 with. When Infiniti announced they were bringing the G35, the North American version of the perennial Nissan Skyline sedan, it was exactly what I thought we needed. The ...

Pros: Acceleration, tight ride, handling, comfortable interior, styling, the stares. Cons: Disappointing stereo. Parts will probably be a fortune when the warranty is up.
I purchased the Coupe 5AT black with willow leather and premium package, spoiler and body side moldings in May '04 and absolutely love this car. I had driven an MT for 15 years and like the way the manual shift mode in the automatic handled. Besides, ...

Pros: Price / value, power, features, looks (IMO), reliability Cons: None really, other than a rather touchy clutch
If you want power, comfort, good looks and a great price this car is for you. I bought this car about two years ago and still love it. I have the 6 speed sedan with the premium package. Dark blue colour looks like a million bucks after a good wash and ...

Pros: Great engine, Fantastic handling. Lots of room front and back. Great Value. Very reliable Cons: Fuel mileage not great. No fold down rear seat. Expensive dealer maintenance. Road/wind noise
I bought my g35 sedan 5AT with aero and premium package in May 2003. I was looking for a new car after two previous used car bargains (99 saab 9-3 and 94 probe gt) that i picked up at age 2. While initially attracted to the Coupe, the small size of ...

Pros: Good power, handling Cons: Uncomfortable driver seat, high gas consumption, too many blind spots.
I purchased a new 2004 G35 base coupe in January of 2005. The selling points on this car were its attractive design, its 280 hp engine, and competitive price. After looking at other makes and models with similar features, the Infiniti G35 coupe won out, ...

Too good for a college student.
by hornetian ,Apr 15 '06
Pros: Nissan Handling Engine Handling Nissan RWD Handling 6spd Nissan Handling Cons: Too cheap to impress the superficial, not German enough to impress them either
If I could have any daily driver in the entire world at any price, it would be a Nissan, and it would be a G35 coupe.
Anybody that has a G35 coupe with a manual transmission knows what I am talking about already, and anybody that doesn't obviously doesn't care about performance or cares a ton more about 'luxury.' This car is as far into 'luxury' as I could ever see myself breaking away from sportscars.
Everytime I read a review of a BMW 3 series, I say, "Yeah nice car, too bad its 2 seconds slower in the quarter than an Infiniti that cost $15k less." Also, not a Nissan.
I won't go into more detail than to just say it is a Nissan, and it's better than most everything else on the market. If I had the money, I would still have mine.
