Pros: Distinctive styling, ride, handling, front seats Cons: Marginal rear headroom, some interior materials could be better
Last year I drove and reviewed the 390-horsepower supercharged S-Type R. Recently I had a chance to sample the other end of the line, the 3.0-liter V6 base car. For my Ph.D. convocation my parents flew into Chicago. My mother had reserved a midsize ...

Pros: POWERFUL!!! Great brakes, comfortable and very efiecent climate control, Amazing Audio system . Cons: THIRSTY at the pump and expensive.

2004 Jaguar S-Style Great car!
by zellmosel ,Dec 14 '08
Pros: Quality on interior, smooth ride, engine power, smooth shifting, and quiet ride. Cons: Upkeep cost a bit more than usual. Very few cons.
I just bought my 2004 Jaguar S-Style, 3.0L with sport pkg. Wonderful car! With 83K miles, it also came with factory extended warranty for 12 more months and 18K miles which the Ford dealer I bought it from didn't tell me, the jag dealer did. The car is a dream, to include sport mode transmission that with a button can shift rapidly in traffic which is really nice here in Las Vegas. Plenty of power with the 3.0L engine, 6-speed transmission. Beautiful interior, rides like a dream. Highly recommend a used Jag since they depreciate new $5-7K a year for the first 4-6 years. I bought mine from a dealer for only $8.5K. They obviously had a very slow month. The smog slip showed me it had been there for about 75 days. I can't say enough about this quality of a car a price that will hold it's value for a long time.

DO NOT BUY !!!
by jamesherauf ,Sep 17 '04
Pros: great looking Cons: piece of junk !
This Company does not care about you the owner once
you purchase one there cars.
I purchased a new 2001 Jaguar s-type from the dealer
brand new.
After 3-years the car has had to have two brake jobs,
the power steering has been replaced twice, the brake
reservior has been replaced, the raditor hoses have been
replaced, the inlet hoses twice.
The car will not stay started.
Jaguar customer services does not care and will not
call and get the facts. They say it is upto to the dealers
resolve these issue.
They take 3 months just to respond via documented mail.
Thus far i have spent $5,000 dollars out of my pocket
for this piece of crap.
Now i have two (2) windows that will NOT go up or down.
I have talked with 6 people in Jaguar corp. who all say
we have reviewed your case, sorry.
