  • 2004 MPV LX Great buy with rebate

Pros: Handling, Handling, Handling, Flexibility, Salesperson, Towing
Cons: well, it is a minivan

Summary: I went shopping for a sedan to replace my Miata; my primary car for 10 years. I wanted good handling, good gas mileage, a quieter interior than the Miata, a decent stereo, and the ability to tow 3,500 pounds. Most sedans that I drove (Camry, Accord, ... read more

Pros: style, handling, quickness, sliding passenger windows, medium sized van.
Cons: space between middle and front row these chairs need to slide back and forth.

Summary: A sports car with the room of a van!! We had a Windstar before and almost bought another one until we drove the MPV. Kids love it and so do we. We love the style, engine power, handling and the sliding passenger windows.

  • Good Looking, Reliable, Reasonable Price, Fun to Drive

Pros: Seating flexibility, handling, easy to drive, best looking van around.
Cons: Gear shift blocks view of radio/climate controls.

Summary: I researched this purchase to the n-th degree and have been very satisfied so far. While I respect Toyota and Honda reliability, prices for these brands, especially the 1 to 3 year old variety, are inflated well beyond any real increase in reliability

  • Transmission problems

Pros: Gas mileage, comfort, kids love it...
    Cons: transmission

Summary: I love the minivan, but the transmission keeps acting up. The van will buck going into third gear - especially on a hill. I've had adult passengers ask me if we had been rear-ended and I just reply "no, it's the transmission". The dealer seems unable,

  • Wow! What a Great Minivan!

    Feb 19 '05
Pros: great ride, compact ride yet spacious inside, sporty, great cargo space
Cons: more leg room (for adults) between front/2nd row seats, the gear shift seems "loose",

Summary: My husband and I just purchased a used 2004 MPV with 18k miles on it. We have a 15 month old and are expecting another baby soon. The MPV has lots of space without being too boxy or too large. It's easy to get a toddler in/out of carseats in the

  • MPV Okay But Not Great

    Dec 28 '04
Pros: Small MPV is attractively priced with many options.
Cons: Abrupt shifting transmission at about 30 mph.

Summary: My wife and I bought a 2004 MPV in Oct 2004, and we had it now for about 3 months of driving. The primary reasons that we purchased the MPV was its small size and cheap price. The van is comparable to a Sienna and Odyssey, but it is not as good. Ride,

  • MPV ES is a great value

    Jul 02 '04
Pros: handling, comfort, visibility, air conditioning
    Cons: gas mileage, radio

Summary: I was looking for a shorter mini-van and the Dodge Caravan and Mazda MPV were about one foot shorter than the others. We purchased the MPV ES and have found it to be the perfect car for two people and a dog! The handling and ride are more than you would
