2004 Mercury Mountaineer
by keilmitchell ,Dec 18 '06
Pros: None as of yet. Cons: Seat heaters, gas mileage, V-8 power, DVD player.
We just purchased a 2004 Mercury Mountaineer with 35,000 miles on it. We went for the loaded up model, including the 4.6L V-8, DVD player, heated leather seats, and every other option one can think of. The only option it doesn't have is the power moonroof. So far we love our Mountaineer. It has good power with the V-8 and the gas mileage isn't too bad. The seats are very comfortable. The seat heaters warm very quickly and stay warm. So far I have no complaints and really enjoy this vehicle. The rear back-up sensors, and side curtain airbags are two very welcome safety features in addition to the dual front air-bags and four wheel disc ABS. When you add in all-wheel drive to the above mentioned safety features this feels like a very safe and secure vehicle.
