Pros: Distinctive styling, interior room, handling, innovative features, low price Cons: Distinctive styling, public image, interior materials, seats, road noise, rear visibility, high depreciation
Usually I focus on the vehicle itself in my reviews, but this review will be at least as much about the workings of popular psychology. Not since AMCs Gremlin and Pacer nearly three decades ago has one automobile been as universally reviled for ...

Pros: Price, space, smooth engine/transmission, functionality, features, value. Cons: Reputation, resale, telling people you just bought an Aztek.
There is a human tendency to overreact to bad information, and car buyers have obviously overreacted to the Aztek as the modern day Edsel. I was nearly ready to spring for a $26,000 Subaru Forester when I got a letter from GM offering to bump up my GM ...

Pros: price, stereo, room, ride Cons: resale value, visibility, looks, rear hatch
Bought a low-mileage 2004 certified FWD. A poor man's SUV built on a minivan body. I've had mine for a month now after checking them out for a couple of years. Considered the PT Cruiser but it felt light and tinny compared to the Aztek. Vibe was just ...

Pros: Good "Pushrod" V6, great materials for both interior and exterior, fit and finish Cons: Rear spoiler, love it or hate it looks
Our 2004 Pontiac Aztek that we own is the perfect family vehicle in my opinion. It has a tailgate for “Dad” to load weekend maintenance materials for the house in the back, and it has enough room for Mom to haul the kids to soccer and other activities. ...

Pros: I like the '04 styling and the black exterior looks like a classy sports car. Cons: would have liked the 17" wheels in chrome without having to buy a Rally.
I have owned 63 vehicles (including this one), and this has to be one of my favorites. Trading in my '02 GMC 4X4 Styleside with a supercharger was tough, but I have no regrets. I recently started driving 140 miles a day, and with the premium fuel only ...

Rally Package
by tradergene ,Oct 31 '03
Pros: Price, handling (Rally) looks (Rally) driving experience Cons: Looking out the back window in rear view mirror
Can't go wrong with the rally package. Rides and handles better than any car (Suv) in this price range. I have a 2004 and love it. The looks of the Aztek with this rally package is almost nice. If you buy the gray it doesn't draw attention to the style and the 17 inch chrome aluminum wheels looks great. Also the premium wider tires add to the ride and handling with a still acceptable softer ride. Take the Aztec Rally for a test drive, you will be very suprised for the price. Signed out, a new owner and a new fan for what used to be a very ugly car!!!!!!

2004 Pontiac Aztek Rally
by tesalaney ,Mar 30 '04
Pros: The smooth ride, stereo rocks, plenty of room, the coolest accessories, and storage. Cons: The bar across the back windshield until used to it and people saying it's ugly
I just bought a 2004 Copper Aztek Rally. I have to admit that my friends teased me about my Aztek but no matter what they say I LOVE my new Aztek!!! I test drove one about a year ago and have to say I have wanted one since. I am one who has never liked driving a truck, van, SUV or even a large car but when I drove the Aztek it was a whole new experience. I felt like I was driving a small car; it drove smooth, had the power I wanted, and was different then the same old looking vehicles.
I have now made most of my friends and family who had doubts or made fun of the looks of my Aztek drive mine; I have to say that almost all of them has changed their minds about my Aztek. They now know what I have known for a long time, that it is one vehicle that is extremely easy and enjoyable to drive. It is like NO other vehicle out there and the ride in this vehicles better than any I have ever had.

Great SUV!!
by tonythib ,Aug 17 '04
Pros: Radio, air pump, power, tent option, comfort, handling Cons: Looks a little funky, once you get over that you will love it
I love this car. It has everything that I need and more. It does not have the same old boring body, and the options offered are top notch. I test drove the CRV and the VEU and this car was the best hands down. It was cheaper then the other two, and it was way more comfortable to drive.
The radio in it also is one of the best I have seen. I love the camping option, and have been camping with it a few times. It is easy to set up and it is a great way to stay dry during rain storm.
