Pros: Fuel economy, small on the outside, big on the inside, looks cool Cons: A bit slow to accelerate
I can't understand why there aren't more of these on the road. Most people are probably afraid to take a chance on a different looking car. I'm not and I'm glad I did! I bought this car without any options except a dealer-installed roof rack. It came ...

Pros: iconoclastic styling; capacious, functional interior; fuel efficiency; quiet ride, fine sound system; conversation starter
Cons: iconoclastic styling; leisurely acceleration with automatic; leisurely braking; driver's seat lower back/thigh support
June 2004 I've lived with my '04 Scion xB for a month now, and am nearing the 3,000 service interval. Fuel economy with the automatic tranny (and a/c cranked) has climbed from 27 mpg to 30 mpg in mixed city and highway driving. I've already repaired ...

Pros: body style, economy of ownership and operation, great mpg, incredibly roomy for passengers, Toyota reliability Cons: should have cruise control as standard equipment, more interior lights (front/center and rear hatch area)
I have a 2005 polar white xB, manual trans, bought in May of '04, and have about 13K miles on it now. I'm 45 years old, and am having a ball with this car. It's inexpensive to own, operate, and insure, and the kids love riding around in it, especially ...

I have owned this Scion now for over a month and I decided to update the review, now that I have lived the Scion experience. Check up the one month update at the bottom. I am not your typical xB profile car buyer; however I do have two teenage ...

Pros: economical, looks good, roomy, great 4speaker stereo,
firm seats lots of pockets to store stuff Cons: too low to ground,
I recently purchased a Scion XB (by toyota) I wanted something to replace my old & tired 1991 Chevy Sports van. It need to be roomy, as you get spoiled with all the room in a full sized van & unlike a 3/4 ton van, it needed to be fuel efficient. it also ...

Pros: Reliable & easy to work on. Cons: Dealer was pushy about buying a warranty/hocus pocus paint protection which I did not buy.
170K and still tight! Bought it new in Feb'04. Very roomy interior (great for transporting three Jack Russell Terriers girlfriend) and this box on wheels is very nimble. Vehicle stability control works great when driving on snow and anybody spins out ...

Pros: Room and more room, easy driving, everything you need,

My Audi TT was busted up. Our Suburban had parts in the shop. I ended up at a car dealership for work...saw a silver xB...saw the price. Next day we bought the car. I had been looking for a 5 seater 4 door sporty s.u.v. like the Cayenne or Touareg or ...

Pros: Interior space, Style, Fuel Economy, Driving Ease, tall seating position
Cons: Harsh jolting ride, long wait for car, limited availability and test drive before purchase
I've had my 2005 xB automatic for about a month, after a 3 month wait to get it. Being a practical, 6'1" tall 40-ish male that doesn't fit in every car, the extraordinary interior space, great fuel economy and Toyota quality rep are what attracted me, ...

Pros: Gas mileage, roominess, comfort, simplicity Cons: Acceleration, loud noise when back window is open, water in front window when open
I bought this car for the mileage and I'm impressed. If you stay 65 or under its even more impressive: 5-6 gallons for NY-PHIL trip. Interior is very roomy. I replaced an SUV and don't miss it. If you want luxury this is not the car for you. It is a ...

Pros: Amount of room, mileage, looks, sound system, seat comfort, A/C is icy cold Cons: Ride with large rims is a little stiff, looks are love/hate - I love
I've been debating between the xB and the Element for almost a year and after test driving each (quite a few times) I realized that the xB was the right car for me. I had a 94 Toyota pickup with a Leer topper that I purchased to haul my dogs and ...

New Car for 16 yr old Daughter
by jimbenton ,Jul 27 '04
Pros: Light steering. ABS Brakes. Great Stereo. Low price. Cons: Need more light near the front of cab.
I looked at a lot of cars trying to find a vehicle that was safe and easy to drive for an unexperienced driver.
The Scion was a great pick because the dash pod is near the windshield so she doesnt have to take her eyes off the road to look between the steering wheel. The windows are large all the way around so visibility is great.
The seat sits up straight and is very comfortable compared to cars with a seat position that is more lying down than sitting.
The controls are easy to see and adjust. The air is cold, something that I read that was not true. I own a late model corvette and I enjoy driving this car much more.
Maybe I'll get myself one.
