Pros: Off-road features, refinement, interior workmanship, rugged styling, massive feel (if that's what you're after) Cons: Rear seat too low, steering somewhat numb, less practical than Highlander on-road, massive feel
Summary: Initially, most SUVs were basically pickups with a removable roof over an integrated bed. They were designed and generally used to carry four people and their stuff off-road in an enclosed space. Since few people needed a vehicle for this purpose, sales ... read more

Pros: Solid and smooth. Lots of almost luxury items for a base model Cons: Gas mileage slightly less than EPA. Would take another 10 grand to meet luxury expectations
Summary: We bought a used 2004 4Runner after seeing basically good reviews for all Toyotas in Consumer Reports We bought the base model, a SR5, and Toyota has a few strange ideas about "base" luxury. It has a six way driver's seat but it is not power. You ... read more

Pros: Improved ride, creature comforts and safety features. More powerful engine and comparable fuel efficiency. Cons: The new 4Runner has an adequate tow hitch--but lost the pronounced tow bar.
Summary: After purchasing a 2002 4Runner and driving cross-country twice, I came to the conclusion that the ride in a SUV did not have to be so tough...that is when I recently went back to test the new 4Runner style of SUV. I originally purchased the 2002 model ... read more

Pros: Style & looks, Comfy, Smooth, Secure, Roomy Cons: Gas milage, No need for a cassette deck
Summary: UPDATE: On 5/13/05, I was involved in a horrible, high-speed accident with this 4 Runner. The airbag and crumple-zones saved my life. Only 1 year old and with less than 20000 miles, the 4 runner is a complete loss. It saved my life, though. I have ... read more

Pros: Great build quality and legendary Toyota Reliability Cons: Pathetic driver and passenger comfort. Absolutely non-existent.
Summary: I have always been attracted to Hondas and Toyotas for their legendary build quality and nice interior trim levels. For 2004, I decided on a V8 Ltd 4x4 4Runner. . . The build quality and interior trim is fantastic, but there is one serious fault with ... read more

Pros: Everything, V8, 5 speed, all time 4x4, hitch comes stock, versatality, usefullness. Cons: none.
Summary: After months and months of researching, studying and wondering what truck or SUV to purchase, I kept coming back with one final answer, the Toyota 4Runner. Yes, if you are looking for something with a ruggedness that you can use like a truck, but have it ... read more

Pros: Styling, Power, Price, Standard options Cons: Exhaust Odor
Summary: Rather that write a lengthy review about all the features available (see other reviews for this) I will tell you about the vehicle I own. In October 2003, I purchased a Dorado Gold 2004 Toyota 4Runner SR5. I was able to work the dealers for under 30,000. ... read more

Pros: Great reliability as with all Toyota's! Cons: The 4Runner needs more headroom! The Rav4 has more.
Summary: So you're thinking of this vehicle? Great! I bought a new 2004 4Runner, but I wanted more options than the plain SR5, but I couldn't afford (and didn't want to get ripped off paying for) the totally loaded Limited version, so I opted for the Sport

Pros: slick look, enough space, loads of gadgets, affordable, good resale value Cons: hard to park in compact parking spaces
Summary: I'm sure there's a lot of people out there with a busy schedule. I'm one that is always on the go. Go out clubing on weekends, pulling boats to wakeboard, help friends move, or help remodel homes, etc. Growing up, I never thought of riding anything

Pros: Powerful, Sturdy, Reliable, Comfortable and easy to drive. Cons: nothing major
Summary: Absolute beautiful car. One of the most well-driven SUVs. The Toyota 4Runner is well-priced, in my opinion, especially when considering its performance. I have traveled long distances in my 4Runner, and it handles very well on the highway as well as

Pros: drivetrain, roomy/comfortable, high seating, solid feel Cons: gas mileage, wind noise, price
Summary: I have a 04 sport v6 2wd white 4runner with 2k miles. This is a solid around town vehicle. It feels solid and safe and does everything I ask reasonably well. The only real problem is when you're on the freeway there is a lot of wind noise and I have
