The Greatest Car
by crittle ,Nov 17 '04
Pros: Everything about this car! Cons: nothing!
This is the first car I have OWNED and PICKED OUT on my own. I love this car. It is ideal for both city and highway traveling. The gas mileage is average in the city, but superb on the highway. The car is so quiet, I don't feel like I have to drown out the sound of the engine with the radio, even with the windows down. The size is ample, a huge trunk. The radio is awesome as compared to other factory installed radios. I love this car and recommend it to anyone for the price. And the basic LE perks are equivalent to other Make's higher end models.

Why I love the Toyota Camry.
by jerribugg ,Feb 11 '04
Pros: Lots of room, inside and in the trunk. Comfortable seating. Cons: The doors lock automatically when the door shuts, could easily lock the keys inside.
My family and I rented a 2004 Toyota Camry in early Jan. for a week. We went from Ga to Wv and back.
This car was outstanding. The gas mileage was great, it was very roomy, lots of compartments. The trunk was huge! We carried enough stuff for 4 people, plus Christmas presants!
This is definately the car i will be buying soon.

Still Can't Get Parts for a 2004 Toyota Camry LE.....
by pattischmidt ,Aug 30 '04
Pros: High quality product. Cons: Non-existent customer service.
This replaces my original post from 08/04. My 2004 Camry was in an accident on 7/15/04 and the side driver's airbag deployed.
It is now 11/11/04, and the driver's seat (leather with side airbag) still needs to be replaced, but Toyota hasn't been able to provide the part for nearly four months due to one excuse or another. Meanwhile we have been forced to rent a car for four months at a cost of over $4000 so far. Once they sent a leather passenger seat with airbag, once a leather driver's seat without an airbag, and now the dealership has received a fabric driver's seat with airbag.
A loaner car would have gone a long way toward making us happy. I understand that problems arise, but make amends...offer a loaner car, reimburse the customer for 100% of all rental car expenses, etc.
This would be a great thesis for someone's MBA -- a company known for it's high quality product, thumb's it nose at customers when it comes to customer service. I guess Toyota feels another sucker comes along every minute so they don't really need actual customer service.
Toyota Customer Experience - It's been an experience alright.

Hesitation & NO Brakes
by kla132 ,Jul 07 '05
Pros: Great gas mileage Cons: no acceleration, no brakes.
Wow! When I read orblackfz1's review, I knew I wasn't crazy. My 2004 Camry Limited Edition is terrible. The engine spits and hesitates and the brakes don't work very well.
I've had the car since 11/04 and put 49,000 miles on it. The problems began when the car was very new...about 150 miles. Since I commute 140 miles per day, I had little choice then to keep driving it. I was forced to buy another, safer vehicle and dropped the Camry (now a "spare" car) off to dealership #2. They cannot figure out what is wrong with it.
Now, on the other hand, I know people who have and love their Camry's. My advice, put about 100 miles on it before you consider buying it. It's a comfortable, great looking vehicle but it's a death trap on major highways!
