Pros: Handles well, great fuel economy, stylish design, roomy trunk, organized storage, comfy sport seats Cons: Small interior, little headroom for anyone 5'5 & up, cheap looking air conditioning knobs
I bought this car a few months ago and am very pleased with it so far. I've already put over 7500 miles on it and have enjoyed every minute of it. This car hugs the road & handles very well. It is small and reacts quickly, I feel safe driving in LA ...

Powerful For 4-cylinder
by outdoorchap ,Jul 17 '07
Pros: Great car. Cons: Out of production.
I am glad that I got it since it was the last year that it was made or at least to my knowledge.
I like that it gets 30 plus miles to the gallon when using 89 or 93 octane gasoline.
I do not like that the car is not stable on roads with debris or with percipatation. I also do not like that it does not have anti-lock brakes.
Other than that I think it is an above average car.

2001 Toyota Celica GT
by theyanna ,Feb 18 '07
Pros: Remarkable fuel economy, gorgeous look, good stock speakers, plenty of compartments inside Cons: Cheap air conditioning knobs
I've hit 83,000 on this car and it still handles very well with only minor repairs needed after I hit 80,000 miles. These are the driving belt and my rear struts. This is not bad at all considering I drove this car at least 16,000 miles last year. I get a lot of compliments with how this car looks and 2 people I know who are car aficionados (one of them a car mechanic and the other a mechanical engineer who graduated from UCLA) have told me the Celica's engine is very sturdy. My mechanical engineer friend did a paper on the type of engine the Celica has. This car got voted back in 2001 as the most reliable car in the sports category in Consumer's Report.
