Pros: Head Turning Exterior, Smooth Silent Performance, Impeccable Interior, Peppy 4 cyl, Nearly Everything! Cons: Rear Blind Spot, Tire Pressure Gauge, Adequate Stereo.
Ok, I admit it. I have a sickness. I have to have a new car every year. I promise though, this is the last one for at least 3 years. I am enthralled with this purchase. Before deciding on a car, I was driving to work and I noticed a Lexus coming ...

Pros: The Stereo and the CD system seem quite clear and loud. Handles nice. Cons: I did not like the multi tones of the interior of the others.
Well, what can I say about this fabulous car...I have has quite a few autos before this one. I have the Sports Coupe 4 cylinder which has more power than most 4 cylinders by other car manufacturers. I have the sports interior which is another option ...

Pros: Awesome, comfortable, great style! Cons: None....love this car!
I just traded in my 98 Honda Civic and moved up to the new 2004 Toyota Camry Solara. What a wonderful car! I LOVE THIS CAR! It's got great style and I catch people doing a double take looking over their shoulders to get a second look at it when I'm par ...

LOVE IT!
by nolefans2 ,Aug 10 '06
Pros: Body style, comfort, handles excellent, extra smooth ride...I could go on and on. Cons: Haven't come across anything yet.
Traded in a '96 Honda Accord for a '04 Toyota Solara w/ only 14k miles on it. LOVE that it's still under warranty. Rides so smooth...sometimes when I turn it on I can't tell that the engine is even running. The body style turns heads when driving down the road. Mine is only a 4 cylinder and no one can believe it. Even with only 4, it still has get up and go to it. A sporty coupe that still has a comfortable back seat w/ leg room!

2004 Solara SLE, a Lexus for less
by rxs2000 ,Jan 10 '04
Pros: style, comfort, interior, power, PRICE Cons: Long heavy door
This incredible car can not be a Toyota, it is a $50,000 Lexus and by mistake has a Toyota logo on it.
I am a big guy who always owned a SUV, but when I saw this baby I traded my Pathfinder straight for it.
This car has everything you can imagine, power, style, comfort, look, interior is incredible, sound system is unbelievable, leather, sunroof, heated seats.......and much more for under $27,000 what a bargain.
I never though that one day I will switch from SUV to two doors coupe, but Solara did it.

2004 Toyota Solara SLE
by heidibridget ,Apr 26 '04
Pros: Good looks. Cons: Hard ride, bad transmission, very poor dealer support.
The absolute worst car I have ever owner, transmission slips between 1st and 2nd. Speaker grills rattle on rear package tray. Nice lines but that's all. Dealer sez they all do that. Toyota used to mean quality, today Hyundai builds a much better car, so do the Americans. I would never buy another Toyota again.

I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!!!!
by annasense ,Feb 01 '04
Pros: quiet, smooth ride; luxury features Cons: really... i haven't found a single one yet.
I wandered into the Toyota dealership last week, considering upgrading my 2000 Rav 4 to the 2004 model. The Solara caught my eye, but I explained to my sales rep that I couldn't afford a car like that. Picking up on my interest, he let me test drive this fabulous coupe, and I was sold. And it turns out, I COULD afford it. I drove away with a SWEET luxury car (the word Lexus comes to mind) at a Toyota price. It drives so smoothly and there is virtually no ground noise. The instrument panel is well lit, and my SLE came loaded with features: moonroof, 6 disk CD player, leather seats, security system... I could go on and on. If you're on the fence about buying this car, you will NOT regret it.

I've owned the 2004 Toyota Solara V-6 Sport for 2 weeks
by terton888 ,Oct 19 '03
Pros: comfort, looks handling. Cons: none that I've seen so far.
The more that I drive this car the better I like it. I really love the feel of this car.
I owned a 1991 Celica and have always liked a 'sports' feel to driving.
This car is bigger than any I've owned. It really fits your body. It's fast and responsive. Lots of room.
This is a great car. I really recommend it.
The sun roof and 6 disc cd player make it perfect.
I'm even getting thumbs up from other drivers on the road.

2004 Toyota Solara SLE - 4 Cylinder
by medicman2004 ,Dec 31 '03
Pros: Comfort, Interior Finish, Quiet, Good Gas Mileage, Large list Standard Features Cons: Strangely dis-similar lighting in dash area, could use more horses in 4 cylinder
I purchased the Solara about one month ago, moving to it from my 2000 Celica GT-S. I was looking for something larger with more passenger space, yet wanted to still indulge my love of the coupe. The Solara, restyled for 2004, was pleasing to the eye. The interior fit and finish is excellent and the ride quality is similar to that of the Camry. It actually rides smoother than my 2003 Accord EX and seems quieter, both in engine and wind noise. The control positions are well thought out with good ergonomics. The leather seating is very supportive. Standard features (cruise, auto climate control, ect) are plentiful. The 4 cylinder engine is adequately powered (again, similar to the Accord), but could use a few more horses! Dash lighting is pleasing, but the backlighting for the radio and A/C illumination is pale green..the instrument cluster is a pleasing phantom gray...Toyota should have synchronized these

2004 Toyota Solara V6 SLE: Good looking car.....horrible, noisy ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by bethmalm ,Jul 04 '07
Pros: Nice looking Cons: Harsh, noisy ride
I would love to get rid of this car!!!!!!!!! Even though I love its looks, the harsh, noisy ride has made me sorry I ever decided to purchase it. Over every bump or crack in the road, the noise is "klunk-klunk, klunk-klunk." It has only 700 miles on it, and the dealer has replaced a strut mount. No improvement. Am taking it in again today to see if there is anything else that can be done; however, I suspect the problem is characteristic of this car and nothing can be done. A tire dealer told me the poor ride is probably due to the wide tires, but that the noise is probably the stiff suspension.
