Kenra Dandruff Shampoo

Pros: Effective and easy on the hair.  Doesn't have a harsh chemical look or smell.
Cons: None, other than it can sometimes be hard to find.

I searched for years for a dandruff shampoo that would actually work on my dandruff and not wreck my hair.  Most just didn't get rid of the flakes, even the  heavy-duty coal-tar shampoos.  One that was pretty effective was Head & Shoulders, but it left my hair feeling (and looking!) like straw.  Finally a hair stylist suggested I try Kenra dandruff shampoo, and I've been a loyal customer ever since.  I only learned recently that I should be alternating it with a regular shampoo, but that really hasn't been necessary.  Although my hair is fine and dry to begin with, and I color it, I've been using this shampoo almost daily for at least 10 years with no problems.  My one worry has been that Kenra would discontinue it, as I have never seen it advertised or mentioned anywhere and it's a little hard to find.  I can recommend it with no reservations.  If you've had trouble finding a gentle and effective dandruff shampoo, definitely try this.  The more people learn about it the more likely it is to remain available!
