Get Thee to an MD ---Retina A
Nov 15 '00
I hate it that Retina A works. I do. I'd far rather go on cruising cosmetics counters and buying new sweet smelling dream creams. I loved doing extensive research into herbal ingrediants. I felt like a birthday girl whenever I bought a Lancome or Lauder cream and got the glitzy gift-with-purchase bag of cosmetics.
Those days are history and so are the fine lines around my eyes.
I wheedled my MD into writing Rentina A as a reward for being a compliant patient and presenting for my annual trip to the booby masher and pap smear.
Gentle reader, it worked. I did not see the immediate epheremal results of a moisturizer or the instant effects offered by some exfloliants. However, after two weeks I noticed my complexion was smoother. In a month my fine lines were gone, not plumped up by moisture, not covered by foundation --- gone.
Shortly thereafter a friend I see every few months noticed that I looked different, she accused me of having surgery.
It's not for everyone. Women who aren't vigelant about sun protection should avoid it. Waxing your eyebrows is a no no, you'll get nasty burns.
But if you are willing to put up with being cautious about sun exposure it can knock a decade off your face. Really.
Sigh, I do miss the samples of lipstick.
