Nature's Best

Oct 09 '00

I come from the land of the sun. I'm talking about Australia most of the countries covered by desert and trust me the sun shines it really shines.
Which isn't bad if you like sun but sunburn is a major problem, Australia has the highest rate of Skin Cancer in the world this proves that we should know at least a little bit about Sun Burn.

As I live in Perth Western Australia in which the sun shines over 70% of the time during the year it gets realetively hot about 35 degress celsius on a average summer day. The rest of the time it's climate is great but it gets pretty hot here.
Anyway I'm an outdoor type of person and try and go Surfing at least 4 times a week. This leaves me exposed to the sun and I get burnt quite severly.
After getting sick of looking like a tomato i decided to buy a Aloe Vera plant for the garden. I swear when i'm red raw from sun burn i snap off a leaf and smother the burnt parts in it's sappy fluid and the pain goes away.
This is a bonus as it's free but i have tried heaps of other ways lotions etc. etc. but none are as good as it straight off the plant. This is the best way I have found!!! Trust me it soothes the burning feeling, it may sting at first but don't worry that'll go away and you'll feel a lot better after.
It also aids in the recovery time of the redness and peeling going away.

If you need a product try Banana Boat after Sun lotion I think that's what it's called, it's a blue colour. It's the best product i've tried!
