Why is this world so abscessed with not growing old? No matter how many anti-wrinkle creams you smear on your face. If you're going to get wrinkles your going to get wrinkles. Is it that hard to deal with them? Do you really think at your funeral your friends and family will be standing around talking about all the wrinkles you have? I don’t think so.
I’ll admit that I’m only 30 years old and the wrinkles are just starting to come out. In 20 or so years when I look in the mirror and see the wrinkles there I will look at each one of them as a gift. A gift that reminds me of the wonderful life I’ve had. The ones around my eyes are from all the sleepless nights I had nursing a sick child back to health. The ones on my forehead are from all the worrying about whether or not my family is safe and sound. The lines around my mouth came from the countless smiles and laughter I got to share with all my family and friends. So if you look at them that why , they really are lifes true gift.
When I was little I asked my Grand Mother why she was so wrinkled. She told me that her wrinkles were lifes road map. They showed all her joys & tears. And for each and everyone of them she has a special memory.
My advice, don’t worry so much about all those wrinkles that ARE going to show up. Live your life and enjoy each and every moment.
