biore cleansing nose strips - is it a sham?
Nov 15 '00
when trying to minimize pores, some of the largest pores in your skin may not actually be that large, but seem to be just because they are on your nose. biore makes a product called the pore perfect deep cleansing nose strips. the product does everything it promises, but has a side affect which can lead to making things only worse.
the biore nose strips bond to the dirt and blackheads on your nose. you apply this nose pad to your nose, wait for it to take hold of all the dirt and grime on your and slowly peel away the nose strip from your nose. as you take the strip off, blackheads and dirt will be ripped off from your nose to the pad. in fact, a well used bad will have clear evidence of how dirty your nose is. when i first used this product, i thought, "wow! this is great! it's getting rid of all these little blackheads!" but then i realized something...
it's simple physics, really. if you pull blackheads out of your nose, the space the blackheads consumed in your nose are no longer there. now you've just opened up a zillion tiny little pores into your nose, completely clean and empty. but if you look on a much closer level, you'll realize that this can be a bad thing. why? because now you have a ton of open pores just waiting to be clogged up or infected. biore neglects to mention what you should do something immediately after using their nose strips to prevent your pores from getting clogged up. but there might be a reason for that...
biore makes a great product, it is effective and easy to use. but biore is a company whose ultimate goal is to make money. here, they've made a product that will strip away blackheads from your nose, but the open pores are just waiting to be clogged up again. they want this to happen, so that you'll keep buying their product! so, what is one to do? there is no quick and dirty way to minimize pores. there is a quick and dirty way to remove stuff in your pores, though.
what you can do after using this product is to do whatever you can to not clog up your pores again. i made the mistake of thinking that after using the strips i had nothing to worry about, but several days later my nose actually looked worse that it had started off looking. why? clogged pores! i used the strips again, but this time i tried something different, to prevent the clogging. gentle washing of the affected region helped to make sure my nose kept clean. try not to use make up or other oily lotions that will clog the pores up. if you keep your pores clean, the chances of them getting clogged is smaller, and hopefully you'll have smaller pores.
