In the Dawn

This was a great book. I started laughing about the second page and the book got better from there! Sharon Green is a wonderful writer the story is sound with just enough detail. I love the characters especially Haliand. Her wise innocence is unique, but I also found Skyhawk to be a very good character as well.

Seems that there are three Realms Moon, Sun and Earth. The people from the Realms have different powers, like burning through bindings or weaving shadows. The head of Earth decides he doesn't want his people traveling to the other realms, so he makes them give up and forget their powers and then he decides to take over the Moon and Sun realms. The head of the moon and sun realms decide a marriage to unite their houses is in order; so that they can join their flames together (which is a great source of power) which will result in a great gift. So Jentris of the sun realm goes to meet the princesses of the moon realm to choose a bride. After he arrives, someone steals the Sun Flame with Greaf, a friend of the Princess Haliand, in the Box(he is some kind of elemental being). So She and Jentris must go and get it back, on the way they meet Skyhawk who is more than he seems. He must help them on their journey if they are to get the flame and Greaf back.

This novel was really good and was quite a page turner. I finished it in two days. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good science-fiction novel. I look forward to reading more novels by this author.
