I must say, I HATE reading. I hate starting a new book, I hate going through it, and I hate boring story lines. I read Harry Potter, and that gets a thumbs down from me, and I've read other books supposed to be great. A friend recommended this book to me, and wow, it was fantastic. Every page was an adventure, I went from the kid who never read, to the kid who was bumping into numerous walls and tables, due to the fact a book was planted right in front of his face... Ender's Game.
The plot is extremely easy to follow, yet extremely complex. The characters are all realistic, and are easily related to. The basic story is that a young boy is being picked on because he is different a third (Meaning third child which is very uncommon due to overpopulation). One day, he gets a visit from the "Army type thing" of the future, and they ask to have him, because he is an amazing fighter. He goes to combat school, and from there his adventures start, making new friends, and enemies and he soon learns he is a prodigy.
