The love of Money is the root of all evil

I have experienced first hand, that the book selections, with the rare exception of some science-fiction or horror clubs, are completely lame, and biased. If not biased, then certainly not bi-partisan either. Most of them hook you with the excitement of a bargain, then they stiff you with costly requirements, and hound you, draining all your stamps, forcing you to respond negatively.
I find these clubs to be annoying and misleading, and worst of all, the books are not even worth reading half the time.
If you want a good deal, try BMG music club, where you get 12 cd's for a penny, and you only have to buy ONE at store price, which is no more than Sam Goody's would charge you.
Then each time you sign one of your friends up, you get 4 cd's for free. I have a huge collection of music now by way of referrals. It's so inexpensive for Sony (for example) to actually build a cd (my father works for them so I know first hand), that they are making almost 10000% profit. Not 100%, but 10000%. The cost of making a CD in a warehouse with the master machinery is about 17 cents. The rest that they make (around 17 dollars) is pure profit. All you're buying is a piece of plastic with some ink on it, a jewel case, cheap plastic too, and some liner notes. The grooves which translate into sound are written electronically, and cost nothing to produce.
