"Go Ask Alice" is a touching story about a teen age girl who went through the absolute worst hardships of life. It gives a real life scenario of what drugs can do to a person. It leaves an impact on the reader because it is a true story of an unknown person. It is only her diary pages that were found and printed to make this book. The life of a teenager today is not so different than this girl's for some people. Parents, if you have a son or daughter that you suspect is doing drugs, then you might want to let them read this book. It may not help them, but it will show them what they may be getting themselves in to and possibly prevent it. I read this book many years ago for school and I must say it is the best book I have ever read. It may not be suitable for younger people, but on the other hand, it may be a good idea to have someone read it when they're young to warn them about these types of things. This is the type of book that I would have no problem reading again.
