Janet Evanovich Rocks

I have never been into the James Bond type hero. I have nothing in common with him, but Stephanie Plum I can relate to. She has family that sometimes drives her crazy, don't we all. Things rarely goes as planned. She always gets her man in the end, but nothing comes easy. This is a hero I can relate to. Not only that, however, but she manages to keep her sense of humor through it all.
I read each new addition (she has four now) with anticipation and she had disappointed yet. Stephanie lost her job and her husband (she found him and a friend doing the horizontal bob on the dining room table). So she blackmails her cousin into giving her a bail bondsman job. Her adventures are the basis of her books.
She has a mixture of characters that make you laugh and cry. There is Grandma Mazur who shoots the Turkey; Ranger, her mentor, who is one bad bounty hunter; Lulu, the hooker with the heart of gold, who adds spice to each scene she is in; and lets not forget Joe Morelli, sometimes friend, sometimes not. There was the time he took her virginity, the time she tried to run him over, and the time he handcuffed her to the shower rod (she had been taking a shower when he came in).
If you are looking for an writer that will keep you entertained, Janet Evanovich is the one. I can hardly wait for her next book, I will buy it as soon as it hits the shelf. Good reading.
