Piers Anthony is one of the most imaginative writers that I have ever read. His two series that I have read (The Incarnations of Immortality and the Adept series) are like no other books that I have read. They are the only series that I couldn't wait to read the next book.

I have to admit that I am not your typical Piers Anthony fan, I have never read any of the Xanth series. I don't know why I haven't. Maybe sometime I will.

I really like the world's that he has come up with for the two series that I have read. The Incarnations live in a world very similar to ours but it has magic and a separate plane of existence where they reside. The world that the adepts live on is somewhere else in the universe but it isn't like any other world that I have read about or seen on tv.

Piers is also very good at keeping his stories straight and not revealing exactly where the story is going until you get there. The incarnation series is written in a way that you can read the first five books in any order, but I wouldn't read books six or seven until I had read the others. The adept series is written in chronological order so you need to read them in order.

I would recommend Piers Anthony to any person that enjoys science fiction and/or fantasy. If you have read anyone better please let me know.
