Spend a day in Barnes and Noble
Apr 02 '00
Sometimes you just need to get away, from the kids, from the hustle and bustle of the big city traffic, from the laundry, from the dishes, from the unfinished project screaming at you from the desk. Sometimes, you need the quiet and solitude of the library, but you also need a Caffe Latte and a big sinful Godiva bar, that you sip and slurp and devour as you listen to a random selection of CD's. Sometimes, you need to buy a book to tell you why PMS has such an effect on the endocrine system, and you want that book to be yours, and yours alone, unmarred by some other readers surging hormones.
For those reasons, I recommend Barnes and Noble.
But if a wide and varied selection of books is what you are looking for, Barnes and Noble has that. They even have Growing up Brady, a selection not widely found in lesser book stores.
The customer service is smiling and nice, helpful and friendly, and there is staff adequately scheduled so that long lines don't aggravate paying customers. And no, I am not employed by Barnes and Noble in any capacity.
I do like shopping on the internet, but when I do that, I have to make my own coffee, I can't justify the chocolate, and I can't find a cozy little chair to curl into and hide from the world.
Some days, the escape of Barnes and Noble is the only cure.
And it is recommend 3 to 1 by Dr. Mom's everywhere.
