Toy Story 2 ~
Adapted by Kathleen Zoehfeld
64 pages
Hardcover
I have purchased a lot if books for my son based on Disney movies, they were all the same. It was usually a retelling of the entire movie, written in an adult format.
April 2, my little boy became seven years old, his Mama-Grandma bought him a book about his favorite movie at the time.... Toy Story 2! I smiled as my son ran around, knowing that for the next few weeks I would be reading him this story over and over again. He sat down on the floor and opened the book, checking out the illustrations, "Cool, I can read this book!"
Yes dear, I thought to myself, you can read the whole thing ~~wink wink ~~!
" I'll read it to you okay Mommy. "
I was amazed, he read the whole book to me!
The Read-Aloud series is a breath of fresh air, made for young readers who are just starting out. It encompasses familiar words while expanding their vocabulary.
Bright colors and large fonts are some of the first things that strikes one, as they peruse the book.
The well known faces of Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Mr. Potato Head, Rex, Hamm and Slinky and the introduction to some new characters, Jessie, Bullseye and the Prospector are beautifully illustrated.

My View ~
Children truly love to read, and this is a story that will come easy for "new readers" to grasp. I am amazed with how my son reads this story, always acting out the parts, using different voices for each character.
Any book that sparks the imagination like this one, is a winner to me.
They say, Bring home the timeless appeal of Disney storytelling home and relive the magic again and again! That pretty much sums up my feelings as well regarding this wonderful story!

101 Dalmatians, Bambi, Beauty and the Beast, Cinderella and The Lion King are just a few others in this collection.
