This book started out decently, but everything after those first few pages was stupid, lacking direction, dull, and just plain uninteresting. This could be a very cool book, but what the author chooses to focus on is the most mundane and dull aspects of the potential story. This book claims to be about a wolf that becomes a man in the service of this evil woman. But the story never really does anything with the wolf part. He is human for 97% of this book, and the few lines where he is a wolf just stop abruptly and next thing you know he is a human. There is not a single decent fight in the book, nor is the evil character portrayed clearly enough so that we understand what she wants, why she is doing things, and what her real goals are. For an evil mastermind her plans suck and she's really clueless about the personality of her servants. To top is all off the ending is painfully stupid. I've heard of deus ex machina, but what about dragon ex machina? It was like she was think "Darn, I have to finish this thing, what totally improbably thing can I pull out so that this book is over, regardless of set up, having a decent plot, or caring if the readers are insulted or not with this lousy, stupid ending?"

Don't get this book. It is not fantasy, not really, I'm not sure what it is. Wait, I know what it is, it is totally dull and a complete waste of time.
