Wives, Mothers, Daughters and even Sons - any one going out on their own should invest in a copy of "Home Comforts" by Cheryl Mendelson.
It's a great book, and will enlighten you, as she puts it, to "the Art & Science of Keeping House".
Sometimes, we "stay at home" moms feel like we missed out on the 70's & 80's definition of a career. This book pats us on our backs and lets us know that there is no better career than raising children and making your house into a warm home.
This book covers everything! Have a problem with laundry? Better yet - don't know how to do laundry. This book will give you step by step instruction and soon you will feel great at your success.
How about Cats. Is your cat missing the litter box? Check out the chapter on Pets.
From food to safety, this book gives good advise, step by step instruction and illustrations.
It has interesting bits of history and values throughout.
It cost $35.00 and has almost 900 pages between it's hard cover.
I plan to give my daughters a copy when they venture out on their own.
It's a great gift for a wedding shower, or a son heading off to his fist apartment.
I asked for this book for Christmas. I wanted to refresh my routine and learn better ways of doing so. It works! Keep it in a handy spot. I refer to it often!
