I am a student at a high school, and everyone agrees that the new grad standards are a crock of SH*T. The kids hate them because it is a waste of their time, and MUCH, MUCH, MUCH more homework to do. The teachers hate them because it also wastes their time. Not only do they now have to correct the normal homework, and but also all the grad standard junk. Even most parents hate them because students are now not able to learn the normal curricular because the standands take up the normal curricular's time. These standards are just a bunch of piece of SH*T projects that people in the government who think they know what they are doing (when they really don't) made to increase the standard of graduation. But thats just the thing, they dont really raise the standards. Each standard is graded on a scale of 1-4. You need a 1 to pass. To get a 1 all you have to do is complete the grad standard to get a 1. So pretty much everyone passes. These standards should definately be revoked.
