Pros:L'Amour's ability to take you away
Cons:Unable to complete daily duties until the last page is finished

For over a decade Louis L'Amour took us on a new adventure each time we turned a page. He never failed to make us forget the present and gave us the ability to drift to time long past.

L'Amour's books have been a family favorite since they were first brought to print. I've read a few of the Sacket books that the pages were dog eared and yellow even some with pages missing. But it never took from the story knowing that somewhere in the past a person I knew had been engrossed in the same story as I made it even more thrilling.

For many years after my youngest brother's birth I wondered where my parents found the name Tyrell. Until I discovered it between the pages of one of L'Amour's many Sacket stories and only then did I realize the impact Louis L'Amour had had on my family.

L'Amour gave some of us a chance to live in a time where our dreams become reality and reality a dream. To see in our minds and our hearts what Grandparents described. He pulled you so deeply into the very soul of his books you could almost feel the very breeze blowing on the plains and the smell of horse flesh on your skin.

Louis L'Amour will be missed in the literary world but his books will bring continue to bring dreams to reality for generations to come.
