solstar's Full Review: Mollie Katzen - The New Moosewood Cookbook
This review may be more relevant to the old version. I leafed through a new copy recently but the one fresh in my mind is the book from when I was a kid. Having grown up in a 2 out of 3 vegetarian household I have had a lot of experience with vegetarian cookbooks!
We were lacto-ovo vegetarians and I didn't even eat meat until I was about 16 or 17 and then only briefly.
The Moosewood Cookbook is actually just fun to flip through because the recipes are peppered with unique drawings. As for the recipes themselves, what can I say but YUM!
I can't recall every recipe because I don't have my mother's copy on hand but the book is full of good ones for all kinds of vegetables including casseroles, salads, and much much more. Note: The soup and dip ones are especially tasty.
