This book has good versions of famous myths known around the world. I would recommend it as an introduction to mythology for parents to give or read to their children. It contains some of the great Greek myths like, Pandora's Box, Narcissus, and Riddle Of the Sphinx. Also has well known herioc characters like Zeus, Hercules and Odysseus. Their are a few stories from other places of the world like China, West Africa, and Egypt.

My favorite story that I never heard of before is called The Grendel. This is a Anglo-Saxon myth is about a monster that imposes on a kingdom. Check it out.
