The Alchemist

This is one of those life-altering, eye-opening books. Coelho takes you on a journey to show you the way life should be lived. Not only following your dreams but how to go about finding them. Sometimes life sidetracks you but there is always a reason why and you can find your way through it all if you make the best of the situation and see why you were lead down certain paths even if they seem to be in the opposite direction of where you were heading.

I don't want to give anything away about this book. All I can say is every page or two there was a line or two that I wanted to write down and put on my wall as a reminder of life - almost an affirmation. And hey - I'm not one of those huggy-feely types either!!!

My two male best friends read this book (loved it!), passed on to my brother (whom I admire more than anyone and he loved it), he passed it on to my mother who called me before she even finished to tell me about it. Now it's being passed on to a few others. Also I am going out to get his other books.

You'll feel good and you'll want to make changes in your life, if you're not following your dreams. I guarantee you'll like this. It's such a good book I can't believe it hasn't been in Oprah's Book Club!!!
