Now,as a mother of a 11 year old who enjoys R.L.Stine books, I happen to know a lot about his books. My daughter thinks he is the best writer,and if she's happy,I'm happy. It all started a couple of years back,when my daughter was looking for a good scary book.At that time R.L. Stine just came out,and I came upon his book at K-Mart. I picked it up,read the storyline,and decided it was a good book suitable for her. That day,after she read it,she told me she loved those books. So ever since then,I've gotten her his books on every occasion:Easter,Halloween,Mother's Day,and more.
