Ken Smith, B.A. goes into detail on what is absurd, weird, the sex, the contradictions and the gore in the bible. He points out what is not in the bible, the influential characters, and has some very interesting bible questions to ask the devoted. It clearly shows the passages where you can find each item he lists.
I am in no way saying that you should just bounce into a church during service and start blasting away at the congregation. What I use the book for is when I am asked if "I had my walk with Jesus" or if I know I am going to hell and especially for the people who come knocking on your door wanting to convert you.
This is an excellent book that even the believers should read. Not to change what you believe, but to point out the problems in the bible that so many are not aware of.
